Smash Bros being 50 is utterly laughable, and some of the comments by the staff underneath it remind me why I never really pay any attention to Eurogamer.

Someone go call Eighthours

Between Fallout 3 and LBP for no.1 then?

Obligatory Pic Pic comment here.

Smash Bros at 50 is a joke, though. And I echo Kerbi's thoughts about the comments. That Kieron Gillen sounds like a right knobber.

Making entirely clear that I've not been lucky enough to experience MGS4 yet, but having pretty much just cleared Pure's single-player mode... Pure deserves that position. Probably one of the best arcade racers I've played since Burnout 3, and/or a damn fine SSX clone. Whatever it is, it's good.

Motorstorm 2 > Pure > Your face.

What are the odds MS2 won't even make the list? :(

Mass Effect was ported to PC this year (with minor differences), but it's technically a 2007 game, and therefore shouldn't be there.

While people may have reservations about MGS's reliance on cut scenes to tell a story, theres no way in hell Pure is a better game

I like that it's a fairly esoteric list. It's far less safe than a lot of others, so kudos to EG for that. Having said that, Fallout 3's going to be number one, which I find profoundly depressing.

This is the first Top 50 thingie this year where I agree with everything in it, that I've played at least. Everything else seems fair enough from what I've heard about them, and it's always nice to read negative as well as positive comments.

As for Fallout 3's likely top-spot, it's already made it as my personal favourite.

It's a unique setting on an engine that has proven it's worth. It's hardly surprising it's made fans of a lot of people. Whatever glitches there may be are more than offset by the sheer size of the game - as you'll see if you compare it to say, the more polished but significantly shorter Fable 2.

I'm hoping for a high placing from both Lich King (they seem to know their MMOs) and Left 4 Dead (after Keiron's glowing review).

I totally do this thing called StreetPass UK and it's real good like.

Hard to say. EG didn't like it that much, but that was just one reviewer.

From what I've played, I wouldn't have it in MY top 20.

I hate complaining about other people's lists but strawberry floating hell :fp: This reminds me why I don't bother with Eurogamer anymore.

50. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

and that's being generous. Hopefully Banjo is top ten.
