Outstanding result, can't be upset with that, especially after last year. I reckon there's a good chance Ukraine will ask us to host for them, given that we came second and they seem to quite like us recently.

Armenia, Estonia, Greece, Iceland, Lithuania, Germany, Moldova and Norway deserved to place better in the rankings. The UK's entry was okay, not amazing, not really runner-up material. Spain was just a ripoff of Camilla Cabello, don't understand why it got so many points. Serbia's message was great but, the act? Not great.

It was so shocking to see us get all those 10 and 12 points. But it deserved it really.

Probably helped that we came after Moldova woke everyone up after about 5 ballads in a row though.

Not as many memorable songs this year. But you can tell which songs were the most Eurovisiony as those were the ones that got the majority of the public votes. Imagine if Latvia got through to the final for example.

Can be proud of 2nd. Hopefully we can continue that trend going forwards.

I don't know it's their whole raisin d'etre that Europe hates us which is why the gammons think we don't get any points. Just need to send a decent song and someone with charisma

According to Twitter, a peak of 10.6 million viewers watched the glorious display of arse at Eurovision last night. Averaged 8.9 million viewers. Which considering it lasted 4 hours is mightily impressive. Event TV.

From what I’ve heard he’s been going round Europe, playing the track at events and the like to try and drum up support and it’s clearly worked for him and the UK so fair play to him really.

Graham Norton kept going on how much effort he'd put in and what a lovely bloke he was. Good for him.

It's a good song, I liked it on first hearing on Spotify well before I seen the performance.

I'm listening to the grand final playlist on Spotify right now (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWVCKO3xAlT1Q), and there are definitely some great songs in this year's offering.

Spain - SloMo (even without that performance :datass: )
Netherlands - De Diepte
Portugal - suadade, saudade (my personal favourite)
Iceland - Með Hækkandi Sól
Armenia - Snap
Ukraine - Stefania
Greece - Die Together
Norway - Give that Wolf a Banana (ridiculously catchy :slol:)
Romania - Llámame

Great fun.

You forgot the Swedish entry. Stunning.

The Semi finals had some great songs also, The Show, That's Rich ('mon Ireland), Breathe and Ela.

Overall last year had better songs over the semi finals and final.

It amazes me that with the global reach the show has, more of the artists don't get sued to oblivion over ripping off famous tunes.

That one that was just dirty diana, or the UK one which was a reboot of Babylon zoo's spaceman.

Other than the title, it had little in common with Babylon Zoo.
