Good that we’re on the shortlist. The Hydro is something like the fifth largest indoor arena in the U.K., though I guess it *technically* hosted Eurovision in the film already.

Can't see it being Birmingham, as much as I'd love it; we've hosted it previously and obviously just had the Commonwealth Games as well.

Looks like it will be Glasgow. Should be fun wherever it ends up.

It'll definitely be Manchester.

Manchester has just shortened slightly from 6/1 to 5/1 but still, money to be made there if you're so confident!

Not confident enough to bet on it. Mainly because work ban betting websites and it'd be a right faff doing it not on my work computer. But I can't see why they'd pick anywhere other than Manchester.

Should have known Bristol wouldn't be picked, those who run the place have proven time and again that they're incapable of getting anything done.

It'll be Manchester because of MediaCity.

A slap in the face for bonnie Scotland.

Surely the final nail in the Union coffin!

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I don't know why people are overly surprised about this, there was a football match on Tuesday to decide the winner and Liverpool won 2-0.

Liverpool seems like a pretty logical choice.
It should make a fantastic host city.

Great news! Liverpool is a world class city and deserves this! I'll be sure to visit home that weekend then!

Germany have just selected this belter as their entry, continuing the trend for heavy acts doing well:

Only fifth in the jury voting, but smashed it with 40% of the public votes.

Managed to get 7 standing tickets for the Thursday night semi final.

£280 each :dread:

My partner was 1000th in the queue and all cheaper seated tickets had gone by then. It was very much a "you're paying this much or not going" deal (and you can't choose a different day by that point), so for us and my eurovision obsessed group it was worth it.

Decided to do the final on TV at a mates' house, but I will be at the Euroclub for the Wednesday and Friday evenings if anyone is in Liverpool!
