I'd love to hear him doing more Metallica stuff. He always was much better at the gruff vocals than Hetfield.

Alex Skolnick too! And the drummer (of course) sounds better than Lars (EDIT: Oh, it's Mike Portnoy!). I'd much rather see these guys in a club than Metallica in an arena.

Spent last night on a ton of edibles listening to Lana Del Rey. Christ what a voice she has. The emotion she conveys in Ride and Blue Jeans is incredible. West Coast has incredible production too, almost a subdued 60s psychedelic vibe.

I really think she's an incredibly talented songwriter. Particularly on her NFR album. She mixes an idealised version of Americana with lived experience of its darkside; for someone who has had a few pop hits but otherwise seems unremarkable on first glance, I think there's a lot of under the radar ability there.

thats fair - i was being flippant. i havent actually consciously listened to anything by her so i havent got a clue :lol:
