I feel like I'm the only person in the world that hates Ebeneezer good. I literally can't stand it and I love all that old school stuff, from the prodigy, Altern8 etc.

I don't like it that much either, don't mind a few other Shaman songs in a purely nostalgic sense (2unlimited too) but they were never that good in the first place.

Somehow never listened to this. What a pleasant surprise.

Really? It's easily the best thing PJ ever did, for me. Alive and Jeremy in particular.

Personally I prefer Riot Act and Vitalogy but Ten is indeed a cracking album, favourite songs for me are Garden, Why Go and Black.

Also the music from this ancient Smirnoff add is amazing, Can't find it on Spotify anywhere - Dillan Rhymes - Naked and Ashamed it's apparently called.

It's no Move Any Mountain, that's for certain.

Only just got into this band from Mumbai after seeing them a few weeks back for the first time. Bought their 2014 album "The Demon King" on the strength of that gig and I love it. 8-)

Loving this album. As a fan of extreme metal and metal and rock in general it's hitting all the right buttons. :D

Bought the reissue of Death's "Human" the other day. An absolute blinder of a death metal album. Few can touch it.

What's interesting about this track is it was the first of it's kind to feature on MTV. Scared the gooseberry fool out of the PMRC. Good.

I went on a Death binge last year after not listening to them for years. I don't think they ever released a bad or average album, entire discography is top notch.

Awesome 8-)

I already own the album, but the reissue doesn't have the shitty compressed recording that often plagues a lot of CDs and digital versions of <insert band here>. I've compared the two and the difference is almost night and day. Through my BOSE headphones it's crystal and utterly brutal.

While not my favourite Black Metal band, in my opinion this is the best album Cradle of Filth put out there.

I first saw them at the old London Marquee before they became massive. Now I feel old.

All Black Metal bands are cheesy in their own way*, but Cradle of Filth took it to a whole new level. That said I do think this is a blinder.

*Church burning and murder was a very small part of those early days; unfortunate, unforgivable, yet, unsurprisingly, the press focused on that darker element thus pushing it into notoriety. Thankfully the black metal scene has endured even in light of this and has grown into one of the most entertaining and dominant genres in the metal scene - and I strawberry floating love it!

The production isn't great, (like a lot of early black metal), but for my money Emperor's "In the Nightside Eclipse" is not just one of the most influential black metal albums of all time it's arguably one of its finest. Utterly relentless and unforgiving in its delivery it's a real tour-de-force in extreme metal circles. The opening track 'Into The Infinity Of Thoughts' alone perfectly captures what black metal is and what it represents. Certainly not for the faint-hearted.
