Been on a massive power metal kick recently. Pure strawberry floating cheese, but I love it.

Always liked Walking On A Dream and We Are The People by Empire of the Sun, so have had their This Is Spotify playlist on recently.

Great music for a sunny day:

Nick Cave on his own at a piano at Alexandra Palace. I saw it 'live' a couple of days ago but just found a download link and re-watched it.

Other than 'Spinning Song', 'Euthanasia', and 'Girl in Amber' which I've never really liked, I thought every song was superb.
Papa Won't Leave You Henry on piano is like a different song and somehow even creepier than the original, and it's amazing how he can continue to find new ways to play The Mercy Seat after all these years.
I wasn't keen on Ghosteen album at first but it continues to grow on me. 'Waiting For You' and especially 'Galleon Ship' here both fit in well amongst his other songs and in some ways sound better.

Link here for the video or MP3s. The cinematography is incredible, so well worth the download if you are a fan.

My girlfriend got me tickets to see Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds back in May but due to Covid-19 it got delayed to next year, so this was a great alternative during lockdown.

I thought the set list for this looked pretty poor. Willing to give it a listen though.

I went to the cinema to watch it and it was brilliant

I like a couple of the songs on it, but as a whole, i think it might be a bit too chilled out for me.

It's one of those ones that on first listen nothing really leapt out as like "omg this is incredible" but I think it's growing on me.

I obviously haven't seen it but I'm not a fan of a few of the tracks on the setlist, and I wondered if some of the classics couldn't have been switched out for new ones(Ktulu, for example, is on S&M - why not do Orion instead?).

Metallica were my favourite band for many years but I think the unrelenting twattery of the Hetfield/Urich combo has put me off them a bit nowadays. Time was I'd have gone to see it in the cinema too.

I hate that their song We Are The People is so good, but it is. I really like EotS.

On the b-side to one of my favourite songs of his (Every Day), Eric Prydz did a mashup of We Are The People with another song called Mirage that I really like. Worth checking it out if you like that kinda thing:

Prydz is my God. Seen him live 6 times and he's blown me away every time.
