I'm a massive Prodigy fan and this is easily their worst album. I've listened to it several times too. It has far too many 'samey' tracks that have a tune, alternate some old school synth, drop the beat then back to the start before they end. They also have one of the worst tracks in 'Champions of London' which not only is terrible but will obviously be co-opted but Chelsea/Spurs/Arsenal fans when they win something, its excruciatingly vapid.
It's all bombast and no nuance, it was made with live shows in mind and while they may be crowd pleaser's on stage, on an album they just meld together into one big unrelenting mess which has no direction other than rinse and repeat repetitive churning of beats and faux grunge.
The Prodigy used to set the tone, forward techno and dance music as a whole, with the last 2 albums and especially with this one, Liam has lost focus and has reverted to oblivious meandering soul-less drivel.
I'm devastated tbh, they seem to be moving away from why I loved them in the first place. It's as far away from Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land you can get.
Good god you were right, its pure grade-A gooseberry fool.
I couldn't even listen to the whole thing, I can't actually find the words to describe how disappointed I am with this album.
