I've been quite enjoying the odd song or two by James Blake.

From the most recent album I really like 'Power On' and 'Can't believe the way we flow'

Any other recommendations for nice chilled songs by him, similar to this theme.

Sounds nothing like the original version but I don't really mind, its still a banging tune.

Although I do keep thinking the microwave is beeping whenever I listen to it

No idea what the insane lyrics are on about but still.

It had been necessary,
Minora circuits by the bone books,
Get up, please, I strawberry float you,
A sceneful dull grey room,
Let there be any time.

Systems, for guys,
Clinic outside space in music,
Body, sex towns,
He ejaculated hoolahoops
Of color formed around, outside
Like I by The door, you appear,
Watch this sky switch,
I've got the fixin',
I am the big fix,
I'm leeriest but I got the pain,
My heart to my last city, yeah,
It had been through by you,
You won't cut the...

Oh lord, lord,
I don't even Feel like a batterd photograph,
If you stay near right now,
He shoots through twice, 'Round and 'round,
I'm in a level background,
Let them see us, man,
T.V. program, "Darling Darla"
I scream.

Ooh, that's talking about making,
It all grew, to the lune, fooled.

Yeah Got Glint is top class. :datass:

I kind of lost track/interest in the Chemical Brothers around the Push The Button era but I've been hearing good things about their new stuff. Anyone confirm if it's worth checking out?

Yeah, Push the button was a bit meh apart from a couple of tracks.

We are the night was considerably better but still a little lacklustre towards the latter end, I did like the little bits of self reference throughout the album though (the title track being constructed around a reversed loop from The Sunshine Underground from Surrender is brilliantly subtle)

Further is an odd one, the opening track is awful but the second one is absolutely epic (nearly 12 minutes long), the rest seem to be a bit of a back to basics approach with a slight 60's/70's pop vibe to them. its different but overall decent enough.

Born in the echoes is a return to their earlier style mixed with some fairly experimental tracks that don't particularly sound great. There's some good tracks throughout but again the latter 3rd is noticeably weak.

No Geography, a definite return to form here, a nice mix of old and new sounds with only on or two missteps along the way (the title track is far too short and another one is just boring).

Cheers for the info!

I definitely think I listened to We Are the Night but I couldn't tell you anything about it, everything after that has passed me by. Sounds like No Geography is definitely a good point to be jumping back in.

I do feel the latest album is sorely lacking something like this, love how weird it is.

Another of their stranger tracks which I love

Never really listened to Def Leppard in a big way but I've been playing some of their hits last few days when I caught a random song playing.

My dad used to play their Hysteria album all the time when I was a kid, haven't heard it in years though and aren't sure how well it holds up now.

Used to be a little bit scared of the end part of this song

Never really listened to much of her stuff (found most of it a little too 'out there' at the time) but this is still brilliant 22 years later.
