Been quite some time since I listened to this. Forgot how rather heavy they were whilst not being afraid to up the tempo into the [almost] blast speed arena. Technically not the most advanced, but with good, solid doom metal it's not required - some solid solos though. When bands like Paradise lost, My Dying Bride and Anathema were ruling the doom metal/gothic doom roost in the UK outfits like Decomposed, (much like thrash metal bands going up against Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer), knew that they were up against it. For a young metal head like me at the time, however, finding competent bands outside of those most popular did garner kudos points amongst ones peers.
Damn, in 1993 I had awesome, long blonde hair. Getting old does suck on many levels.
