Was my fav song too hear while driving in Gran Turismo 3

Definitely agree with that, I always drove far better with that blasting away in the background.

Anyway, here's another awesome Death in Vegas track

That is a really good song great recommendation, thanks :) love how it gradually builds

Not a big fan of their output since Portnoy left, this was probably their last great song.

I keep dipping in and out of their albums after my friend pointed out that I can't really call myself a Dream Theater fan since I only own three albums. I struggle to find album that I really 'connect' with though

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Your friend should mind his own business, owning three albums from a band more than qualifies you to call yourself a fan. :dread:

Which albums have you tried? Is there a song of theirs you could call a favourite?

I'll list the albums I know well with brief descriptions.

Awake (1994) - pretty experimental
Falling into Infinity (1997) - the closest to a typical rock album
Scenes from a Memory (1999) - diverse concept album telling the story of a murder
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (2002) - some good/great tracks followed by a glorious eight-step suite
Train of Thought (2003) - closest to a typical metal album
Octavarium (2005) - like a more experimental version of Train of Thought

Six Degrees is my favourite
