It's just confusing. Like if I try talking about one of my favourite games Star Wars Battlefront II and now have to clarify it every time with "(2005)" or "(the original)".

"Hey have you played Tomb Raider?"

"Which one?"

It's ambiguity where ambiguity could easily be avoided.

Just call the first one by its original name "Project Ego"

I think in time the name will probably just become synonymous with the reboot - if that's what it ends up being, that is. Much like when referring to Tomb Raider or God of War these days. You assume people are talking about the new versions unless they add in an 'original' suffix.

Then if the game is successful (please, please be good) then future sequels will presumably have a suffix i.e. Rise of the Albion, Shadow of the Albion, Albion Awakens, The Last Albion.

Either that or they have a sub-title in mind that they are waiting on being confirmed so they can call it Fable 4: Something of the Something. However, the fact that a new studio is working on it suggests it'll be a reboot so it'll just be 'Fable'.

I'm confident it will look stunning as Playground Games Horizon games are incredible visual feasts.

The art direction is curious. The teaser trailer shows the trademark humour but I'm not sure they'd get away with a cartoon pixar looking game with farting and belching being an option. Not sure a realistic approach would work either, although if they provide moments of comedy it could juxtapose quite well.

Rare have a large number of ex Lionhead devs who'll be consulted I'm sure.
