-Uses the ID Tech 5. They say they are taking the engine a step further than it has ever been used and are utilizing a state-of-the-art lighting engine and a much more powered-up version of the engine than any game to date has used.

So Rage and Rage then, unless you count Doom3 BFG where it looked worse than id Tech 4.

A perfect balance between horror and action sounds like too much focus on action to me. Still looking forward to it though.

What's the creator of silent hill up to now?

More screens. The first is very moody and suggest old style suspense.

Is Psycho Break the Japanese title?

Why does they get better titles? Biohazard, Psycho Break etc?

Yeah it's the Japanese name.

Could we have Shinji Mikami's name in the title so people know what this is.

Looks bloody scary. Agree with Nick that Mikami's name should be in the title. Along with Kamiya he must be one of the most consistently great video game designers we have.

It's just a shame that it's dual-gen and running on idTech 5. That's not to say it doesn't look great, but you can't help but imagine how great it could look if it wasn't held back.

Regardless, this has the potential to be the next Resident Evil series, seeing as Capcom wrecked Resi after Mikami left.

I can't express how happy I am to see a spiritual successor to the survival horror mantle now that Resi's gone gooseberry fool. Looks like it'll even have the occasional fixed camera angle and reverse view! An evolution of the original RE4 concept, perhaps?

I have this on order and if it's anywhere near as good as The Last of Us it should be a real treat and adding next gen visuals will just sweeten the deal.

I'm hoping it's more like Resi 1/Resi 2 covering a small area with lots of details. Certainly getting that vibe from the hospital setting.
