It's already 60FPS on Series cos of FSP boost but I'm interested on the graphical updgrade.

All the Fallouts are 60fps now on Series consoles and all are on Gamepass. :toot:

Might have to start a new game.

I never did play that DLC. I'll start a new game and power through.

I didn't.

Still haven't.

For those that are new to these games, fallout 76 is the much better game between 76 and 4. 76 has the more interesting world, feels more like proper fallout and has better quests.

Start with either 3 or new Vegas. I prefer the setting of 3 (Washington and the surrounding area) to that of new Vegas (Las Vegas and the surrounding desert), but you can't go wrong with either. 3 is the shorter game and is such a great intro to the series. NV has the best writing.

If I ever play one, it'll be between these then, always though New Vegas was DLC for some reason :fp:

1 > NV > 2 > 3 > 4

Haven't played 76 but I can't imagine it will do much to arrest the decline

Of the Fallout games that I've played...

76 = 3 > NV

It's hard to chose between 76 and 3 as they're both - for me - best at different aspects; 76 has the huge world and the camp-building, whilst 3 has the better stories and different skill levels. NV is still excellent, though!

I haven't played enough of 4 to rank it; but I will do once the update arrives :-).

I think that 3, 4 and Vegas are all in offer and so is there DLC on the Xbox store right now if that helps.

Additionally, Fallout 76 is currently free to download and play (on all formats) from now until 18 April :-).

I would recommend New Vegas over 3 myself because the writing and the choices are so much better. Fallout 3 was the first one I played way back when and I really enjoyed it. I also had not really played much like it at the time though. Going back to it recently after I had played New Vegas many times over, 3 felt lacking.

I'd say that's an argument to play 3 first. That way you can enjoy both! :D

I picked up New Vegas again today for the first time in six months. It’s ace, but I do get lost in buildings a lot.

I imagine I'll also be playing New Vegas again very soon. I haven't played it since the original release and I only ever played the weird, red casino land DLC.

That’s my least favourite DLC. Big mountain is funny but leans heavily into the cheesy sci-fi. The others are pretty fun locations / stories

I actually loved FO4. NV has some good writing, but the actual game world is less fun to explore than FO3 & FO4 in my opinion. In terms of my overall enjoyment and hours played, it's easily FO4 > FO3 > NV.

All 3 are decent though. I think a lot depends on whether you're someone who has a preference for written content or someone who just wants to immersively explore/experience the setting. I've always leaned towards the latter when it comes to open-world games and FO4 just fits like a glove.
