I've been meaning to go for the season pass for a while. CDKeys had it listed for £15 and I figured I could just pick it up at a later date (it's no longer in stock at CDKeys)... However, news of the planned price hike up has made me purchase a pass from Steam and I'm not the only one... it's jumped to the top of the sales chart!

It's a bit cheeky of Bethesda, but if the price hike is genuinely because they've expanded their DLC plans for the game, then good...I'm expecting some serious additions (no horse armour shenanigans) otherwise there's likely to be a bit of a backlash!

That was 10 years ago. They've been pretty good since.

Also, I've just made you feel old.

It does make sense for those putting their money in way before any content is available to get that content cheaper than those who wait for it to be out before deciding if they want it

What kind of strawberry floating idiot pays for something without first knowing exactly what they're paying for?

You realise you just called anyone who has bought the Fallout 4 season pass a 'strawberry floating idiot'...in the Fallout 4 thread?

It might be semantics, but I'd imagine hardly anyone knows exactly what they are getting whenever they buy anything.

In this case its an obvious case of trusting that the content that will be delivered will be worth the money they are paying, like I said I think it makes sense for those willing to put down their money before everyone else to get that content cheaper than those who want to wait to see more clearly what they will get. I don't think that makes anyone an idiot, it comes down to your faith in Bethesda and how much you like Fallout I guess.

Biggest load of woolly bollocks ever.

We're customers, not strawberry floating... religious types. Faith shouldn't come into it; Bethesda should tell us what their plans for the DLC are, give us a rough idea so customers at least know what kinds of things to expect so they can then make their minds up if they want to buy it, or not. What they've done with the DLC is akin to announcing Fallout 4 and then showing strawberry float all about it. Then showing a few things at a later date, whilst at the same time announcing they're going to jack the price up in a couple of weeks time. To try and defend or rationalise that kind of anti-customer behaviour is bonkers.

F3 > NV. I just enjoyed 3 more. But there's no way it can be described as gooseberry fool. The state it was released in was gooseberry fool, and the manner in which Obsidian were treated by ZeniGames was gooseberry fool. But the game proper was the opposite of gooseberry fool.

Holy gooseberry fool. :slol: :slol:

Everyone I know who's played the game agrees with me. Its like they took Fallout 3 and stripped out all the interesting bits.

*rage rising*

Wasteland Workshop is out in April and costs £3.99. This lets you design and set cages to capture live creatures, from raiders to Deathclaws. You can tame them and have them fight each other, as well as against your settlers. This add-on also includes new options for your settlements.

Hell yeah

I'll probably buy that but leave the rest of the DLC alone - I still have a /ton/ of the main game to play after all, so what would be the point (and my play time s like 8 days now )

I just started new character to try get into Fallout 4 proper, and this time my character is focusing on melee weapons although has some guns as backup plan. Problem is the combat feels equally hard  At least I didn't feel like I was wasting my time on my first character, as 9INT means strawberry float all (save perks which none of them I really want) whereabouts 9STR means I can carry more & deal nice damage in melee combat.

The problem is I'm not loving it as I did with Fallout 3 - I'm not exactly sure WHY, other than dialogue choices (and the perk system) as both are fairly same in gameplay. I'll just push on & do random stuff and see if it'll click this time around.

Also yeah, no. New Vegas isn't gooseberry fool. While I do prefer Fallout 3 to NV because of exploration, NV has much better quests, characters & levelling up system.

Okay, after that I'm enjoying it more. I'm still gooseberry fool in combat but I can do things at ease as long as I play it smart with weapons I've got at the moment, so the combat doesn't feel like slog anymore. I'm still disliking the idea of fighting feral ghouls though :dread: They're so fast.

I always found the best way to deal with feral ghouls before getting the head shot perk was to cripple one of their legs. Not much they can do then and you can just kill them at your leisure.

Just use Vats for anything that is fast

Combat should cease to become an issue very quickly once you get some levels under you, especially as stimpacks should start stacking up thick and fast. I think I currently have about 300...

First time down on the coast, somewhere near the Castle, which is my next big target. Got strawberry floated up so badly by all the legendary enemies there. :dread: But I have to kill them, for I must know what special loot they're carrying!

I can't over use VATs as I only have 1 agility :slol: Went crazy on STR/Charisma on my second character :v

I've been doing misc quests that I got from Minutemin and it's good way to explore the wasteland while levelling up. Radaways are starting to getting harder to get hand of, though...

I'm not so sure. I have a crate full of legendary leather shoulder armor back in my house at Sanctuary.
