Debatable, but mine's definitely more "pricey" than "fancy" I agree. Although many would probably see the 3080 as fancy given its rarity these days.

There is a regular committee. Para 2, subsection c. If you have to ask the question, or aren't invited into the committee, you don't own anything fancy.

I'd say my apochromatic refractor telescope that I use to look at planets and bought for astro-photography. I say use. I used it once. I say astrophotography, I stuck my phone camera over the eyepiece.

Plus, I have some pretty neat sunglasses that, through some trickery, connect to your phone by Bluetooth and play music directly into your head, so no-one else can hear.

You can literally be singing that song about "I've got a bed but I'd rather me in yours tonight" in your head on repeat, when you're just pretending to listen to someone talking to you.

800 Quid for trainers??

All they do is keep your socks off the pavement, strawberry floating hell.

For £800 I'd expect to be carted about in a sedan chair for a year.

Relating to this thread, I use my fancy Quest 2 all the time  much more than any other gaming device.

16th March 2020 was the day the PM said to not go to the pub and to work from home. I suppose VR got a bit of a boost that day? :dread:

It's a powerful rocket.

It’s also exactly one week before Half Life Alyx (to date the only “full-length” VR game on PC) released.

My knee jerk prediction to peter’s claim that VR was the future of gaming has indeed proved wrong, but, anecdotally at least, it’s been my experience. I know maybe 10 people with VR headsets and not a single one of them uses it on the reg.

I have a set of Penguin cufflinks/dress studs from the Falklands. It remains to be seen if they are more fancy that what Curls has.

My bifold doors are the most fancy thing I own, though it's not like I can take them out to town. I bought my girlfriend a Les Mills Training Pack for Christmas which is probably the only other fancy thing in the house. There's other things I'd think are fancy, but as has been pointed out, if everyone has one, are they really fancy? To be honest in two years time I think the only fancy thing will be the house itself if the renovations go to plan.

While it's certainly true that there aren't many lengthy single-player experiences in VR, saying Half-Life: Alyx is the only one is just absurd.

On-topic: I've got a pretty expensive camera I bought a few years ago (that no longer sees any use), and an expensive and fancy shower head I bought because the old one was a bit gooseberry fool. Probably could (and should) have gone with a cheaper option, but eh.

Considering the film was released around 2001, it's highly likely said computer was running Windows ME.

This meant the moment Hugh tried doing his hacking stuff, it immediately froze and went into safe mode.

I have a christmas tree decoration from Tiffany NY, and just bought a £300 firepit from Denmark (to match my fancy kettle an toaster from Finland.) The coffee machine I want is about a grand and remembers your order (brew time, milk temperature etc) but I'll get it refurbished cuz I'm although its fancy it doesn't have to be expensive.

I grew up dirt poor and now earn a good wage to buy gooseberry fool. Not gunna waste it, its gotta be functional if it's fancy.

I have a £300 suit my mate bought me for being his best man. Probably not fancy for some, but it is to me.

I cannot fit into anymore though because fatness.

I want to know more about the tin opener, such as where I can obtain one.
