Match i

I see the midfield for The Fighting Mongooses having trouble working together. Four great names, but sadly four individuals. They hold their own only for so long, and sadly they don't help the forward line as much as they should. Senna for Robot House does a good job of holding off the midfield through balls.

The attack line for Robot House proves too strong against Yobo and Heitinga....

The winning team is....

Robot House

Match ii

Ronaldinho has a rare cracking game and manages to skin every defender from Rotation Berlin. His improvement in form is infectious, and the other attacking players for Spartak Piecrust respond well. The defence, midfield and attack are all stronger for Spartak Piecrust and the difference is obvious.

The winning team is...

Spartak Piecrust

And then jambot, addressing this to everyone except Mocky, clearly, wrote:OK, my thinking was in round 2 we'd have 5 knockout games like round 1, to get down to 5 teams. But then the judges would each pick their wild card favourite from the round 2 matches, to give us a final 6. Spicy.

Then round three, 6 teams in knockout again - and then a final round of 3 way - i.e. a mini league with 3 games overall, to give a winnar.

Then I thought we probably wouldn't do this again for a whole year. At least.

No, maybe, doh :fp: And Harry's off on hols...there might be a slight hiatus until the next round, during which time I was thinking of having the contestants write their versions of how their games would go, then the judges could pass judgement on the fake judgements. Or something.

Match H

I see a lot of players cancelling each other out. Both defences cope well with the wide players running direct, so the goals only come from deep crosses....

For me, Crouch is perfect for this type of game. He'll lay off for Tevez, and BANG, back of the net.

The winning team is...

Lolerpool Pirates

Shame the other judges (bar one) didn't agree.

Match iii

The Inglorious Mockmasterds are a very hard team to break down. On paper they are quite the force and I suspect that they parked a bus on the pitch.

It needs a good creative team to break down The Inglorious Mockmasterds....

and they come through.

The winning team is...

Superking's Swashbucklers FC

Match iv

I don't see Theteam Runcklesworth (RogueTeam) having as much fun as their previous game. A defence full of flair and attacking options makes Meh FC a perfect "total football" team and a team worthy of breaking down TR(RT). Not enough tracking back by TR(RT) proves to be their downfall.

The winning team is....

Meh FC

Damn. 2-1. My strikeforce is not on form at all in this competition. Not a single goal between Maestro Milito or Doomsday Džeko.

Match v

A tougher game for El Pronostico's All Stars this time. Formation wise, the teams cancel each other out, in terms of how the teams work together, I think Ali Dia Memorial XI have the edge. The direct runs of Ribery into the box prove too much for Terry to cope with, which is unusual for him.

The winning team is....

Ali Dia Memorial XI

That concludes the judging by myself.

Which leaves all fives matches still to be decided split decisions after 3 judges. All down to Zellery and *Mr X*.

Stu has also sent me his wild card choice - HoC and H_O still to do that.

Don't we need to know which 5 teams are through before we can pick which of the other 5 will be the wild card?

I have just returned from a two week fact finding mission to uncover the true potential of these teams. Are we still waiting on the final judgements from round 2?
