After a few years of trying to wean my mum off of Windows Phone (which she got on with fine) and onto Android (which she doesn't get on with) I'm thinking of changing tack and maybe going the feature phone route. Has anybody had any experience with modern feature phones? I'm looking at something that runs Whatsapp (the only app she uses) so maybe a phone running KaiOS?

I had a similar issue coming from Windows Phone too. God I miss Windows Phone. Have you considered using a WP launcher? Square Home is probably the best one, might be good especially if she doesn't use many apps.

EDIT - Yeah, what Dowbo said. :fp:

Cheers guys, I'll give that a go and hopefully it will make things better for her

I feel your pain. It was a great OS and I was gearing up to switch from Android to Windows before they pulled the plug. I'm not sure what it was about the OS but both my parents got on really well with it compared to Android and iOS. My dad has made the adjustment but for whatever reason my mum hasn't. We'll give this a go and see how she gets on
