I'd like a full on road track based city racing game Like the Project Gotham series.

Free roam is great but having well made city routes in lovingly recreated actual locations (I honestly think London may be the best location for this on Earth due to having both old and new buildings) people who've been there will recognise is just very hard to top.

Not so much a feature, but a whole genre needs to return.

Boxing.

*edit* and good call, Peter. That's what I like about the NFS Underground games of old. Point to point city racing.

The Geoff Crammond F1 game had a great “hot seat” mode when players could take it in turns during a race with different cars on a single screen without losing the frame rate /visuals of a split screen view.

This should be a standard feature in all racing games.

Race Driver: Grid on PS3 had a fantastic race car livery designer for online play, but Codemasters never brought this feature to their F1 games which was really disappointing.

Final Fantasy definitely needs to return to that system, and speaking of FF, i'd also like to see decent stories, music, and characters make a comeback.

Also, bring back Burnout using the format of 3 and Revenge.

Revenge less so, but 3 yes yes yes. God that game was perfect.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Buying a game and getting the whole thing.
Failing that, perhaps it could be clearer what's included in the basic, gold, ultimate, extreme and complete versions.

It just doesn't make any sense.

Of all the comments here, the above is something we'll most definitely never see again. Rather pleased I'm of a generation that saw a time when you'd buy a game and it was all there, complete.

It seems a bit bonkers to me that todays gamers are happy to slap down £50+ for a husk of game and are then even happier to put down upwards of another £50 between dlc, microtransactions, loot boxes and spread out retail exclusives to get the complete package - for one game.

In fact, it's completely insane.

Along with a sense that your time isn't being taken for granted/held hostage until you buy the 'pay to not play slow' xp doubling dlc for another £20.

That used to happen on Race Driver: Grid in multiplayer.

It used to be like dodgems.

Having a newly released game that doesn't require a day 1 patch, and is not broken without it.

The second characters from Mario Kart Double Dash.

Your main pokemon to follow you in all the Pokemon games. (I know they've fixed this for Let's Go Pika/Eevee but why has it taken so long to be a thing again!)

Another cell shaded Zelda game.

The Battlefield Bad Company series.
