Ah cool, that probably improves the singleplayer experience then!

I can't remember how spellcrafting worked in single player, though, I only tried it once or twice as I was lucky enough to have decent access to someone to play multilayer with.

well you simply had to put to compatible spells together in the command slots and they would fuse together or you could do in yourself. you can split the spell apart easily enough too

Well I'm playing through in bursts of a dungeon at a time.

It's bland but sort of pleasantly so, and when people jump in to help you out through a dungeon it's lightly fun and satisfying. I'm enjoying it as a low-key, low-stakes game with the prospect of new pretty places and pretty music enticing me on. Happy with my purchase.

The frequent load screens and dumb prompts (like the menu asking whether or not I want to read each diary entry after every tiny vignette) makes the map and journey stuff feel pretty treacly slow though.

I know I've already posted this in the Switch thread, but in case anyone cares as much about the change to the shadows in River Belle Path as I did! https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020 ... chronicles
