Sorry if this has been covered already, but I bought this a couple of days ago (PS4) and there doesn't seem to be an option to play head to head online matches. Not really interested in Seasons as I don't want to be the same team every match and, being ranked, everyone plays like a banana split.

This seems like an extremely strange omission. I didn't really read up on this game as, well, it's FIFA so I figured I knew what I was getting. I can't even sell it because I bought it digitally :x

Yeah I don't understand why they left it out , it was the same for fifa 14 on xbox one.

Sometimes I just want to enjoy the game without people being banana splits.

Although it might not change your mind, just so you know, you don't have to be the same team every match in seasons.

I've only been playing seasons so not tried it yet but are you saying that you can't set up a game and invite a friend to play? If so, what the hell? That makes no sense whatsoever.

IMO FIFA is only worth playing against human opennents - friends locally or online.

Yup. This,

Totally agree. Haven't played career mode in a FIFA game for about 5 or 6 years, I just don't get what's interesting about it. Online or nothing for me.

I only play career mode and one thing I've found that's annoy as hell is throw ins, both for the computer and I. It just goes over the head of the player you throw it to or they mis-control it etc

Whole lot of misconceptions up in this mug.

There's no online unranked against randoms this year. You can totally change your team in seasons though, I don't get how so many people are missing the gigantic button in the bottom left.

If you're talking about playing against the same teams over and over, change your own team. The lower you go, the more variation you'll get (and fewer banana splits, at least in the higher divs). 5* is almost entirely Madrid. I play as a 4* side and I've played against 9 different teams in my last 11 games.

It's called Online Friendlies. You're playing a friend online, except it also tracks your results against that person over multiple matches.

Use the right stick to take control of the receiver and get the computer to throw it to you.

Lower star team players tend to be much better. Any schmuk can play with Madrid or barca. Lower teams require some proper effort.

Apparently though villa are in the same bracket as both liverpool and forest

But GM is right, less banana splits as well.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Same as my name on here. I'm part of the GRcade Pirates but am still yet to play a game  I like to play centre mid, although am comfortable playing wherever I'm needed. I can make some evenings and weekends, depending on how busy I am.

I think it would be cool if people posted in here when they're playing a game, as it should push the numbers up and make for a better experience. I know there tends to be games most evenings but maybe just a little heads-up to know a match will be kicking off soon? I guess a separate thread could always be set up if there's enough demand for it.

Good to see there's an update out.

Changes:
The FIFA 15 PS4 update in full:

Fixed 'search-by-name' functionality in Career Mode.

Added the latency indicator to FIFA 15 Ultimate Team so fans can view health of connection before entering an online match.

Improved set-piece cameras in Online Seasons for Guest players.

Corrected home crowds in Match Day Live matches.

Fixed occurrences where the player would be unable to progress at the end of a FUT match due to the post-match menus not appearing.

Fix to hospitality upgrades in Career Mode and Pro Clubs.

Addressed exploit where players could infinitely switch kick-takers on set-pieces

Fixed occurrence where changes to the Subs and/or Reserves are not brought into Season matches

Good stuff, I'll add you later on.

I can start posting in here when games are going on as well. When you're on the PS4, have a look for GM (Yolshi), as he sends out the group invitations.

Anyone up for some Clubs tonight?

Have they fixed the strawberry floating game breaking lag on PS4 until you switch profiles back and forth?

Pretty sure he's in the club, but add me to your list anyway so I can add you to the party chat. It's just easier when people need to quit out to change stuff.

So stupid, I know. There are other features missing too.

No one on here seems to play online coop (as in, both on the same machine; second player as a guest) but if they did, they'd share my pain.

Baffling that this is meant to be the first 'proper' 'next' gen FIFA and yet it's still missing features. :fp:

Nearly lost my first game :dread:

Through to the final of the League cup against Liverpool :dread:

Got Chelsea next in the FA cup :dread:

Think this could be my first loss as manager :(

got six decent strikers, think I over spent in the transfer window :shifty:

I can't score for love nor money in this one :fp: Blunderland sent my career pro to Luton Town on loan, and it's just not happening. These bloody keepers in League 1 are world beaters, ridiculous.
