Well if it is about to end I would just like to say thank you for all the hard work you've put into this over the years, Rubix.

Show Me Love - 8/10

Sorry, Rubix. I wasn't around much in the last few weeks due to the summer holidays and kids.

Perhaps it would be good for the film club to have a summer break every year in the future, as it's tend to be the time that it's always busy?

Thanks for everyone's support over the years, it's a sad day that this has come to an end. The low responses this year and the face I am not around as much has made me come to the horrible yet right decision to hang my boots up with the FC.

Thanks Again. Look out for my next project

I probably would have "joint" this had I known the rules and had access to the films. Perhaps you just need a relaunch, stating (or getting agreement on) the rules so more people are "in". I'd suggest making one rule that all films are on Netflix (and perhaps put in the topic title) as a lot of people in the forum are subscribers.

Yes?

I had the same problem with the Album Club, people like the idea but the numbers just start to dwindle after a while, especially after people have had their pick. It's pretty gutting when you spend all that effort making it happen, I remember properly getting the arse last time!

I'm not a big film-watcher but for what it's worth this strikes me as the kind of idea that might need periodically re-launching to get interest levels up. Maybe try making the club seasonal? After summer, when more people are spending their evenings indoors, could work - so Autumn ('15) Film Club would start us off in September.

Would be a shame to see this die outright when I'm sure there must be enough demand to keep it going in some form. Best of luck!
