If you want the whole soundtrack, just google "FFXIII ost blogspot". You can find most soundtracks that way.

Hope is possibly the best written character in a Final Fantasy game since VI(games not done by Matsuno that is, Basch  ). His journey is this game is well done.

I've got back into this after a break of a few weeks. Picked it back up about 1/2 way through chapter nine and I'm now doing a couple of the mark missions on chapter 11 before continuing with the story. When it first opened up I was like :D but now I'm wanting to get back on the story arc and come back to this later. Most of the encounters in chapter 11 seem way above my characters (standard party of Lightning, Hope and Fang) at the moment and the guide says you are better doing most of that stuff after the story has finished.
I'd agree with regards Hope, I think he is pretty well done with an obvious progression/growth through the story. All the characters have a decent amount of depth to them, even Snow who initially appears to be the most one-dimensional character has a bit of interest as the story develops. The real annoyance though is fang's voice acting, that accent drives me up the wall. One thing I really like is the narration by Vanille, in the main storyline she is so chirpy but the voice overs during the chapters show that so much of it is a front.
The game itself has all the flaws that have been previously highlighted but I still really like and am happy to keep on with it for the time being.

I got up to the third disc, the part where you fight Riegns? he is trying to change the future, he kept wiping out my team and I kinda gave up on there, as it is getting too tedious, why couldn't it have introduced us to all this micro management at the begining rather than streaming it out as you go expecting you to follow.

I did that last night and found that it was relatively easy mainly because I'd done some grinding on the mark quests, had Lightening, Fang and Hope at level 4 in all their primary roles and had done the little robot quest thingy to pick up a stack of cash which meant I could upgrade all the weapons to mid points in the 2nd form. Took about 25-30 minutes though and resulted in a no-star, I've no idea how you would get 5 stars in that battle.

Well I did the battle in 18 minutes, I remember on a previous try, it cast Doom on Fang which I think it does if you pass 20 minutes.

I didn't get Doom cast so must have been under 20mins, seemed like longer though.

The intro movie to chapter 12 is probably one of the stunning things I've ever seen.

Now £9.95 on zavvi.com. Being too busy most of the time has its financial benefits, I only got this about a month ago (at £12.95) and also got Assassins Creed 2 for £8.95 (which has gone up a bit). It's crazy how decent stuff goes cheap so quick now.

Anyhow while I'm on here, if the more prompt amongst you can cast your mind back, at the minute I'm on chapter 11 and I get the feeling I should be spending ages building myself up before continuing or I'll get hammered. All the "initial" skills were up to level 3 before I started chapter 11, is that enough to get on with the story or do I need to stick it out for a bit? I've just done the first C class stone mission (i.e. have done all the D class ones) but I'm a long way away from getting the skills up to level 4 and a lot of the stuff you can meet along the way is absolutely hammering me...

Well quite, that was me all over. These days if I haven't finished what I've got, I don't buy new stuff. So many unfinished PS2 games. It does mean I veer more towards the "pick up and play" stuff these days (just forked out for Pac-Man Championship Edition). Determined to finish FF13 though, just not quite sure how long it's going to take. I had 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and didn't complete any of them. 12 was the start of my "don't buy it if you won't finish it" policy...

I also got this for £8.95 (10% off Walkers code) off Zavvi, and I'm on Chapter 10. Taking wee break from it though as I want to focus on other games but I'll go back to it eventually.

First six chapters are kinda meh, but 7 & onwards are much better in terms of story

Anyone actually done any leveling up after the game?

If so where is the best place to do it?

Not many hunts left to finish everything
