Latest Beta update

Hello and welcome to the first episode of our adventures in the beta of Final Fantasy XIV : A Realm Reborn! We hope you’re having fun with the game and that you’ve taken your first steps in Eorzea. Keep an eye on the beta testers’ forums for all important announcements.

You surely know the basics of combat by now, but more challenging and random battles, called FATEs, appear regularly in all different regions of Eorzea: more than 100 of them are available now, and much more in the final game. Check out this commentary video for more details.

Have you gotten far enough in the Main Scenario to get access to Leve Quests? Alone or with a small group, whatever your class is, different objectives to complete can be undertaken from your City-State, or directly in the camps found across Eorzea. The number of leves you can accomplish is limited, but is renewed each day!

The next test period will happen from 28th of June at 9:00 (UTC) to 30th of June at 9:00 (UTC). See you next week!

The more of the beta I play the more I'm tempted to start back up at launch. I may even pick up the PS3 version so I can play my characters on both PC and Playstation. The one thing putting me off that is the PS4 coming up. Have there been any references to a PS4 compatible version at all?

Think you can take your character over from the PS3 to the PS4 :wub:

There'll probably be an Android/iOS app for the security token anyway like there is for WoW and ToR.
Not really bothered about the collectors edition, but if it'll be playable on PS4 then I think I'll pick up the PS3 version and have it alongside the PC one since it's all just one subscription.

Anyone want a PS3 beta key? PM if interested.

Ends this weekend anyway. Wont have any time but i'll wait for the Open Beta where I can keep my character

If there's still a spare PS3 code going I'll take it. Be interesting to give the PS3 version a try as well.

A PS4 version has been confirmed... for 2014. It's not clear if PS3 owners will get the PS4 for free.

Sony fans will be pleased to hear that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is in development for PlayStation 4! Announced at the Square Enix Future of Final Fantasy E3 conference, it was confirmed that gamers who purchase the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be able to transition their accounts to the PlayStation 4 version when it’s released in 2014.

So after getting every class up to 20 I think I've defiantly not made my mind up what I want to start when it gets fully released

It's a tough choice between Gladiator or a Thaumaturge/Conjurer hybrid

Keeping well clear of Pugilist, really don't like the class at all
