It has been a while, but I believe applying for the PS3 beta using the FF XIII code applies for both PC and PS3 so you could still get a PS3 beta code once they roll that out later.

If you aren't going to use your PC beta code you might be tempted to hand it out, but it is worth mentioning that they were banning people who gave away unwanted codes in the first phase of the beta. Each phase is more open than the last so they might not care now, butit seems better to be safe than sorry regardless.

I got into the beta this weekend. I only installed it and had a quick look but its much better. When I played the server was lagging a little bit but I saw loads of players around so I guess its to be expected for beta. That said, the interface is a million times better and not laggy at all. Haven't done any combat yet, but I won't lie the mass of text every time you want to do a quest and the generally slow start is a bit annoying. Don't know if you can skip it but there's not really any story at the start anyway so found it a bit boring. Character creation is better too. Basically, as long as the combat is much better and the content is good it should be a decent MMO. I like the idea of them doing the Magitek Armour and Golden Saucer, and I think I heard somewhere they might add Triple Triad in. These are good ideas, its a Final Fantasy MMO, they should combine elements of different Final Fantasy games into one to create it a blend of Final Fantasy worlds, rather than just being an online fantasy game called Final Fantasy because the mounts are chocobos.

After playing about 3 hours of the beta I'm sold on it - I'm a bit put off by the UI in regards to the settings, it doesn't seem to fit in style, but it's repsonisve and clean, which is more important.

And yeah, there was tons of people playing, no lag for me (unlike WoW at the moment). A big fan of the GW style of open events for everyone to take part in - Feel it could do a little more signposting at times, but once you get into it everything just seems to flow - plus it does look lovely :wub:

Next stage of beta testing is being opened up - includiing PS3 version.

I've been left without an EU PS3 beta code, even though I registered my copy of FF13...

Anyone got a spare PS3 EU code, or one they arent really going to use? I would be eternally grateful, and I'd even be happy to give a little something as a thank you!

Lucky! I only got into the PC one, but was really hoping for PS3.

I didn't even know this was happening. I have an e-mail with both codes. I was thinking about waiting for this on PS4 though, rather than the upcoming PS3 release. But it'll be fun to try it.

The E3 trailer has me a little excited too.

So this morning was fine, now I cannot populate any EU servers (Despite the fact they are all apparently up) and all the Jap ones are filled

Seems to be ok for me now; been on for half an hour.

It's going smoother then when Phase 1 on PC was around; I don't think they expected this sort of demand on the ps3, the Jap servers when I finally got a character on one was completely full, was crazy how many people were on and it was running damn smooth as well

No PS3 beta for me, damn. Ah well will just wait until release.

One question, after you buy the game is there still a monthly subscription? if so how much?
