The Black Eagles. The Blue Lions. The Golden Deer. Three noble houses that are part of the Officer’s Academy, an elite facility that trains students in the ways of weapons, magic and special skills. As a professor, the player must choose one of these houses to lead its students in grid-based battles with life-or-death stakes. Each house is comprised of many different students to meet and train, each with her or his own personality and skills. These students can interact with each other at the academy, strengthening their bonds and supporting each other on the battlefield.

Maybe I'm getting old but I just want a turn based RPG without all this extra crap that make it sound like a glorified dating game set in school in medieval Leicester.

Get Wargroove? It's on PC, Switch, Xbox One and PS4. Though I'd recommend against PS4 as it isn't crossplay like the other 3.

I have Space Hulk Tactics to play while I'm on holiday next week .

Nice. Thought I'd mention Wargroove as it has a map creator, campaign creator and can play others stuff from the other consoles. It's also meant to have like an 80 hour campaign.

If I pick this up, I spent my childhood weekends in Leicestershire, so I know which house I’m choosing.

Considering the setting this is a game that shouldn't have American's voice acting it. One of the kingdoms is called Leicester ffs.

Maybe for the Japanese Leicester is seen as exotic and super exciting.
They're in for a huge disappointment .

The Leicester Alliance is very similar to Alliance & Leicester. Maybe the end of game twist will be a merger into Santander.

‘Santander’ sounds like ‘salamander’, which is like a dragon in myth; and dragons tend to be the series’ antagonists.
