Is it me or is this pretty easy? (Up to chap 8)

Maybe I’ve been great in school but never seem to be in danger or had to use Divine Pulse

It's notoriously easy. I've been playing on Hard perma-death mode and never had any issues until the last few fights.

So after 90 hours and 2 playthroughs I'm about ready to call it a day and move on.

Both of my playthroughs were with the Black Eagles house, doing the two alternate routes for it. Oh man, I felt so so bad doing the route where you side with Edelgard and just killing a bunch of former students that I hadn't managed to recruit. I felt particularly bad killing Ashe since I'd recruited him on my previous playthrough where I sided with Rhea

Is there much to the DLC? Is it worth picking up and bothering with?

Not currently, bought it Day 1 for some bad skins and a few stat boosters so far with 2/4 dlc waves having arrived.

Interested in the rumoured future story dlc
and possible playable Jeritza
. But yeah, so far not as good as Awakening for the DLCs.

Up to chapter 11 or 12 and really finding it hard to keep momentum (even stuck in hospital with switch for few sources of entertainment)

The school/side stuff kills story momentum but you kinda need to do it to get context/flavour, but if you do it even vaguely competently you massively over level :(

I'm transcribing Fodlan Winds for a music project at the moment and it has made me appreciate it on a whole other level now. Such a brilliant piece of music, the bit near the end of it has so many layers of melody lines playing off each other. It's really clever.

Can't spend the money on Pokemons, so I'm gonna start Blue Lions on hard this week.

Fodlan Winds is basically this games Conquest from FE Awakening. I could never tire of hearing either of them.

There's another battle theme that I really loved in this game, the one in the battle after the time skip. I must find the name of that.

I've been chipping away at this over the past week and am on chapter 4 - did anyone beat the Death Knight? He's too tough for my team so I'm trying to beat the level without engaging him.

No one does it on their first try but on repeat playthroughs you can murder him with Lysithea and the Death Spikes T spell which is what everyone does.

Ah okay, I felt like it might have been possible but managed to complete the level without being him anyway.

This game is bananas.

Can’t believe it took 25 hours to get to Part 2. Didn’t think it would hold my attention this long. I wish there was less faffing about, the relationship stuff was way better and a lot of levelling mechanics weren’t hidden behind walls of text and menus, but chuff me if I’m not enjoying a Fire Emblem game

Just completed this for the first time. I ended up
marrying Edelgard
.

Towards the end I felt a little bit burnt out, although my interest peaked again during the very last couple of battles. I am somewhat keen to have a go as the Alliance on hard mode, but I'll have to give it a few weeks at least.

I actually lost two of the characters in something like my second ever battle, because I didn't really know what was going on, so I spent almost the entire campaign without Petra and someone else (Casper, I think?) :fp:. Would have been beyond screwed if I'd not recruited Jeritza and Felix, even though confusingly I also spent 85% of the time feeling grossly overpowered.

Overall I enjoyed it a lot. My wife would quite literally beg me to play it (she loves being a backseat gamer) and at one stage we put something like 30 hours in over a six day spell :slol:.

I ended up skipping through a lot of the support conversations because many of them came across as though they were written by a robot who had never previously witnessed real human interaction. In fact a lot of the time I felt like I was viewing this fantasy world through the eyes of an autistic person.
