Also Morgana from Persona 5 if you enjoyed being told to go to sleep.

I've been playing my boyfriend's copy whenever he's not playing, really enjoying it loads. Went with Black Ravens, on Chapter 7.

Though I did same thing I do on Birthright: Grind. Whoops. Think Petra and Linhardt (I suck at names) are my favourites so far, going to S-Rank Linhardt

what is the point in recruiting certain characters if you’re just gonna lose them during the story and can’t them back even if you don’t kill em

What? I haven't had anyone be taken out of the story that I've recruited.

I've heard that you can recruit certain students who might have left you post time skip such as Ashe/Lorenz/Lysithea depending on your route but if they disagree with your ideals I can sort of see why they would ultimately leave.

I may have just been lucky but I kept all my pre time skip recruits (Dorothea/Ingrid/Felix/Cyril/Shamir/Alois/Hanneman/Manuela/Seteth/Flayn) though I did try and target those who I thought might ultimately be sympathetic to Claude cause so perhaps that's why everyone has stuck around.

On the route I took, only one - fairly key - character left my party, and I was pretty indiscriminate in who I recruited. I got as many recruits as I could. People I expected to maybe leave chose to stay.

I think from what I've seen about online, if you defeat them with the Professor when they were previously in your class, there's an opportunity to kill them or recruit them as their health hits zero. I've only seen this in passing though so may not be 100% accurate.

I've finished a NG+ run this week with every unit recruited. If you recruit someone they will always return after the skip, and if they don't return then it is because of story reasons, in which case you will be able to recruit them after defeating them in battle.

Chapter 11

Totally called Edelgard turning rogue, didn't make the connection of her being the flame emperor.

But still, strawberry float you Edelgard!!!!!!!

I hope the story continues to be decent. It's way better than the last three games in the the series.

Ps strawberry float EDELGARD

Lunatic mode has been datamined. Changes include buffed enemies, all archers know poison strike, all thieves know pass and bosses move off their forts. Also a higher difficulty have been found (infernal mode) but is not functional yet.

Well just finished blood of the eagle and lion, what a blood bath, felt bad for killing all those guys I didn’t manage to recruit, though I enjoyed giving Hubert a beating. Still a least I managed to get a fair number of other characters. I think Caspar is the only student unaccounted for at this point in the story

Shadows of Valentia. The remake one. Maybe not classified as a mainline title in the series.

Echoes is classed as mainline, as is Mystery of the Emblem, Shadow Dragon, and New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Light & Shadow. If it's a strategy game then it's a main entry regardless of whether or not it is a remake.
