I start at the gym on Wednesday for my induction. Any tips? I'm looking to lose a little fat and gain stamina + some muscles.

I'm doing shitloads of cardio right now. I can see a real improvement in my leg muscles from when I started. My all round fitness is improving as well, massively. I could do 9k on a bike in 20 minutes when I started, now 10.5, which I'm happy with.

I seeeeee.

I was most definitely not doing one of those. I did a burpee, then went down again for a pushup and then jumped.

No wonder I thought it was impossible to do more than about 12 a minute.

Cosmo, you're obviously unhappy with the way you look, what reason is there not to start doing weights/ drinking some milk?

After a couple of months you'll love going to the gym and look bigger = more self confidence = more success with the laydeez. Wins all round.

Off to play 7 a side in an hour. Not played football in a few years and I was no good back then, this isn't going to go well

Just turned 20 last month. Took about 3-4 years and that's with the first year having no routine or proper diet. So if done properly it's achievable in 2-3 years I reckon. Those are figures taken from start of December so will be stronger now just having tested in a while.

This is coming across as blowing my own trumpet but what I'm trying to say is no one is too skinny or too weak (bar medical conditions) to get big and strong. You just have to be willing to put in the effort.

Also body weight went from about 70kg to 94kg.

Off swimming this weekend for the first time in a couple of years.

Since moving to Newcastle in the summer stopped playing football and doing excersise so thought It's about time to get back into shape and get fit again.

If you dont hear from me again it's because I've drowned!

:x

I don't really want to get crazy strong. I'd just like a physique that's nicer to look at than what I have now. Obviously getting stronger is part of that, but it's not a priority.

Get to the gym then.

Football went better than expected, turns out I'm actually OK as a defender 8-)

One of our team had to be taken to the hospital though, shoulder barged into one of the concrete walls that surround the pitch and smashed his head. :fp: Didn't look intentional like, hope he's not got anything more serious than a concussion.

Legs are a bit strawberry floated the day, had to skip the squats.

My goal: Decent visible six pack, nice titty muscles, bigger arms. Decent all-round strength.

My legs are already beasts so no need to worry about them.
