Cable pullover could be a decent shout, will give them a shot. Tricep pull downs are literally the worst exercise for my wrists, dunno why but they totally destroy them.

Probably will add in a few crunches and the like but have never found them particularly effective tbh.

I can't actually find what a Viking chair is even with google.

Been to multiple doctors, think they're generally a little gooseberry fool with sports exercises.

Need to get myself some crazy new tricked out straps designed for extreme heavy lifting too. Got a powerball on it's way which will hopefully help a little with rehab.

Tried doing deadlifts in my flat converse rather than my running trainers I usually go to the gym in. Well that makes some difference and I'm an idiot for not doing it sooner, PB 1RM up from 150kg to 160kg (managed 2 reps) after doing 130kg x 5 x 2 so I reckon could even get my 1RM to 165kg-170kg pretty pleased with that.

Need to stop holding my breath during lifting part, feel like going to pass out, I reckon I should probably be breathing out at top

nah you'll get better at it. i sometimes do bench sets of 5-8 without breathing. but yeah i'd reset my breath for heavy deadlifts/squats as it's extremely taxing.

Broke 14 stone this morning when weighing in. I can now fit into my brother's football tops(small men's) so to celebrate, I've nicked one for tonight. Icing on the cake will be a win against Liverpool. :slol:

I'll be bulking when I get back in, counting down the days now. Not ideal time for it and I've got a bit of a roid belly on the go but I want some strength back quick.

If anyone's got good ideas for tricep exercises I'm all ears as well, the only part of the body I'm feeling I really won't be able to hit with wonky wrists.

You could probably do a cable pulldown using your upper forearm with the right extension, not sure which one would be best mind.

I sometimes use a handle like ones used in cable pullovers for that type of a tricep exercise at a low weight after I've done others. Usually decent if you contract hard when doing it when arms stretched out.

gooseberry fool. What's the recovery time if that's what it is? How will you be fixed for the Vase final?

Gutted to hear that Cuban Pete, fingers crossed you can make a recovery in time for Wembley (and save/score a winning penalty in a dramatic shoot-out)!

Had to use the smith machine for squats yesterday as the gym was very busy, and at the end my lower back was a bit sore/tight. Don't normally ever use the smith machine for squats, so would my feet have been too far back/forwards or would it just be because i don't normally use it and the limitations it puts on your movement?

Probably the latter to be honest. I hate using the Smith for squats but the gym I've been using this year doesn't have a squat rack. :dread:

Forgot to bring training gear to London with me so don't know what to do about running etc before next Friday. :fp:

My grip is strawberry floated  I keep failing on the 12th deadlift because the bar is slipping out of my hands. I could start using wraps but wouldn't that take too much strain off my grip meaning it doesn't get worked out?

I find that if I am starting to slip, Ill reset at the bottom of a lift, rotate my hands back around into a better position and then pull again.

If I dont reset my hands on long sets I find that they move a slight amount every lift until its uncomfortable and Im not gripping 100%. Obvs if you are already doing this then ignore me, and just get gud

I feel your pain - hand injuries to my knuckles and finger mean that my grip is permanently knackered. Wraps are the only way I can do deadlifts at all or I risk popping my fucked-up finger again. :dread:
