Last month GRcade was invited to The Mafia Championship 2019. Our own DarkRula volunteered as the forum's representative, and is now facing off against players from 187 different communities around the world. You can follow his game here!
FAQ taken from the tournament host, Thingyman
Do you wish to spectate and/or talk with players from other communities?
We have a big server on Discord (1,000+ members) for those that want to spectate and talk about these games. The representatives will be added to this channel too after they die. Or if you just want to chat with people from other communities, we have a general chat too that is unrelated to the Mafia Championship.
2) Upon joining the server, please inform us of who you are and which community you are from. We will then give you the necessary permissions to see the spectator channel. This is necessary to avoid the wrong people (the representatives and their backups) joining the channel.
You don't need to have Discord installed in order to join the channel, as there is a web version.
Do you want to have your own private community spectator chat?
This is definitely both allowed and encouraged. However, I ask that you please do everything possible to make this chat private and inaccessible to your representative, backup and your representative's opponents. It's important that your thoughts and comments don't influence the game. In other words, please don't post about the game in public threads -- this is very important.
This thread will tell you all the details about this season. It also includes the list of participating communities and their representatives.

Blimey, comprehensive details on that forum there - spent the last 20 minutes just reading through the setup of the game!

Smart move! And yes I think TGP as a setting is an inspired one!
The knives already appear to be out with several people gunning for the inactives/those with only brief opening messages in the thread!

Day 1 was town lynch (Rula voted for someone else), town night kill. Rula has been questioned on day 2 by a couple of people but no one has put him up for lynch, so he's doing fine so far I think. Obviously no idea if he is town or mafia but that's the game!
I'd summarise each day here but I'm not going to be able to keep up with the game come the weekend so there's not much point. Don't want to influence Rula either!

Still following along with this, quite entertaining to watch it play out.
Love the classic day 1 bullshit of jumping on any little thing as "evidence" that someone is mafia!
EDIT: Some of the folks in the game seem pretty annoying as well, perhaps it is just because he has Phil Jones as his avatar but one guy is coming across as a right tool as well!

Still trying to catch up on the play from this over the weekend - they seem to have been lynching the right people so far but the night kills are all over the shop!

I jumped on the Discord for a while after the game ended, and have been a bit involved since.
And thanks. I've learnt quite a bit from taking part, so bring on the next game here.
