No. I still need to put a wash on to clean my tea towels so I can use them to dry up my crockery so I can cook dinner.

As a substitute for Champagne, for those who either don't enjoy it or are too young to drink it, it heartily recommend some classic Ginger Ale [go for Canada Dry, supermarket brands just don't compare] or Elderflower Presse from Belvoir Fruit Farms. Top quality stuff.

Slightly above average, I'm pleased to say. As always there was a high standard of sachet contents, but in the main dish possibly a few more mushroom pieces than usual.

Potatoes were the star. I was given about half a plateful more than the other two people at the table, and couldn't work through it all. The stuffing was not good. The wine was lovely.

We had shitty riddles instead :|

'What goes up, but never comes down?'

Seems like there could have been many answers.

I tried to make Mexican cheese pastries with some left over puff pastry last night but I left them in the oven lol. The tomato and pesto tart I did make was a success. Very easy to do if you're struggling for a quick dinner - you just need to make sure you've defrosted the pastry if you're not making your own.

You'd have to be mental to make your own puff pastry. Shortcrust is easy and should be done at home, but puff is just way too much effort.

Yeah we always get the frozen stuff in a packet. There's always a little bit left over though - does anyone have any good ideas for left over puff pastry?

I shall be making from scratch some chicken satays, then a Massamam curry as the main for dinner tomorrow. All washed down with a Chang beer  . Hopefully it turns out as nice as the one I made on my course.

Threw some Creme Fraiche in me Scrambled Eggs this afternoon, tasted like heaven. I recommend it, it works the same way as milk apparently.
