Bournemouth looking to raid us for Antonio for £7.5million. Not sure if I want us to accept or not. Sure, we can't spend it but heck, how else can we reduce our losses to fall within FFP other than selling our best player(s)?

I'd consider letting Henri go for £4-5m though. He misses 4 games a season through suspension as it is

I'd take £7.5million for Antonio. We only paid £1.5m last summer.

It would need to go with more responsible running of the club from the top though.

How do other football league club supporters find the coverage of their teams in the local newspapers?

Our local paper (Bristol Post) is awful and it is one of the few things that both City and Rovers can agree on. For example they today, using all of their journalistic ability, published this story: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristol-Ro ... story.html

The Nottingham Post is generally pretty good I find.

But that article is something else.

That's actually one of the better Bristol Post articles.

The Bristol Post has turned into a terrible Buzzfeed wannabe in parts. I'm genuinely ashamed to work for the company that owns the paper when I see shite like that. They get constantly called out in Facebook/website comments though which is hilarious.

My local paper is fine for reporting match coverage but otherwise it's very slow with news. It is however shocking at investigating what's currently going on at Northampton. We have a half built stand that's not what was originally ordered. Millions of a council loan potentially missing. The company that was set up to oversee the development has gone into administration. The sole director was someone who our chairman was in other business with. They appear to have fallen out. Lots of rumours about money going missing etc... And apparently our chairman has gone on a 5 week holiday. Yet our local paper has remained silent on the matter.

If MHTL is then we have a lot of Forest fans here. I am not sure that should be allowed. :dread:

Had the same thought. They've got so much potential for a big story about the goings on behind the scenes but I'm learning more through the supporters trust and twitter rumours. Every story on the Chronicle is just a quote from Wilder with a little of filler text either side. Better off following the writers on Twitter really, they seem far more open on there.

Very unnerved about our future. Takeovers seem to rarely go well.

Yeah I have to question the motives of the take over bid. So they just want us for the land development around the stadium. And also why so secretive about their identity? Personally my gut feeling is that it wont even go through.

There's also quite a few interesting bits on the hotel end forum. Have u read the trusts statement from yesterday. Very interesting.

Yeah had a quick scan. Didn't seem very positive about Cardoza and the mess around everything. 2 board meetings in two years during a period of redevelopment seems very shady, Supporters Trust seem to be shut out of everything a bit.

So our recently named club captain, last year's player of the season, number-5-in-yesterday's-fucking-squad-number-release-thing Paul Robinson has just left the club by mutual consent.

What the actual strawberry float? Cook needs to have a replacement up his sleeve, but even so that is not a popular move by Cook in my books. I'm guessing they had a big falling out about something. Rumours also coming in saying Ruben Reid has been spotted at our training ground and we're freeing up wages, but that's not how you do it. I'm in shock a little bit.

You laugh, but after those 90 minutes he's currently English football's 23rd longest-serving manager.

Good to see Bolton are in bad form for the first game of the season. Not that it matters, because we're going to win the league regardless 8-).

Optimistimov Boblomov is back :datass:.

well that was gooseberry fool tonight. Gonna be a long season I think. Once we go behind we don't have any options coming off the bench really other than young Tyler and we cant expect him to save us in many games.

Tesche breaking his metatarsal is something we could do without but of course it's Forest so we're cursed by injuries. Out of our 24 squad places, we have Reid, Cohen, Britt, Fryatt and now Tesche out. That leaves 19 places. 18 of which will be on pitch or on bench every game. Those youngsters are indeed going to get some serious game time this season.

I thought Mills was standout tonight. didn't miss a thing in the air and looked composed and was bossing defence around, although a few too many 40yd+ long diagonals to Antonio. Hobbs was anonymous - probably scared of getting injured. Fox was his usual hoof-ball self. Too much relied upon Antonio as ever, although Ward looked busy in 1st half without really doing much apart from 1 run I remember.

We're bottom of the table now on -1 GD so at least the only way is up!

Keep it up, Forest 8-).

I didn't manage to catch the game - did Ward get any kind of reception from the City Ground faithful? He will always be a Ram .
