That’s harsh, most of the Villa lads are decent. It’s just Glowy that ruins everything.

And this thread is going to go downhill next season whatever happens with Villa. Because Nick is going to be joining us.

No need for a we all understood you would prefer listening to John Terry talk about human rights in Africa, than read any of Glowy’s posts.

Sunderland's takeover went though yesterday. In the evening, the new owners went on a safc fan podcast (Roker Report) to answer some questions.

It's a really good listen! They sound full of energy and belief and real sincerity in wanting to turn the club around. I appreciate it's easy to give soundbites, but it's encouraging listening to them discuss even the smaller details - the pink seats, the lager on offer at the stadium, finding a bigger role for Kevin Ball. They don't really dodge any questions, it's all very open. Interesting that they say the Coleman sacking wasn't on them too.

I'll be interested to see if they retain this dialogue with the fans as time goes on, especially if things don't improve on the pitch. I gather Donald had a reputation for being close with the fans at Eastleigh, although the two clubs aren't really comparable.

Also I gather Netflix filmed some of it for their forthcoming Sunderland show.

Playoff Final and Champions League final this evening. Christ I am going to be drunk advance apologies to all Red Dogs and innocent bystanders.

Head says Fulham will take it, but I'll be hoping Villa can do the business. Although I hope it's an entertaining game and they don't just go 1-0 up early on to then put 10 men behind the ball (yes, like we tried!) as otherwise we'll be in for a bit of a snooze fest.
