I'm only 310 hours into FM20 Touch on Switch and I'm loving it, can't see myself upgrading to the 21 edition for a good while yet. In recent years I've stuck with the previous version until the new version drops to about £10, at which point I abandon ship and climb aboard the newer game.

Currently doing a journeyman save where I'm attempting to reclaim Serie A for AC Milan, at which point I'll head over to either Spain or England and have a go at bringing another fallen giant to the top.

So I achieved everything I wanted with Guangzhou Evergrade first time of asking! When I took over from Cannavaro, they were 4 points off the top of the table with 6 games to go. I managed to win 5 and lost 1, and it was enough to sneak me the title and a spot in the Asian Champions League the first time of asking.

The next season I went unbeaten, broke all of the records and rinsed the ACL too!

Currently trying to find a team over in America now that will hire me so I can have a crack at the CONCAF or whatever it's called. So far i've been turned down by Seattle & New York, but i've also had an interview at both LA clubs that i'm waiting to hear back from.

Definitely going to try and bring my Argentine regen striker with me. Guy scored 36 goals and got 5 assists in 32 games last year!

Just picked up the FM21 version.

Past weekend marked the end of my Mansfield save from FM20, took over in January in the second season with them being bottom of League 2, turned the club around and got promoted via the Play-offs on the last day of the season! 2nd season won the League one title, then spent three seasons failing in the play-offs in the Championship before my fourth season winning the league by a point to get to the Premier League. Only managed 2 mid-table Premier League finishes before the Series X launched. Now I have to decide who to play as for the FM21 Beta and whether I continue that game for the full launch or choose someone else.

Having not played FM for a few years I'm loving it once again and spending too many hours on the game haha.

Loving this so far, the match engine has been vastly improved feels alot more natural now and there are some beautiful animations in it. Just over a week of gameplay and already put in 29 hours

Do we have any price details for the Xbox version in December?

I'd only be able to play the full fat edition if they release it on Stadia, but they didn't release FM21 on that platform so I'm not holding out much hope :(

Will no doubt upgrade my Switch version next year sometime, but I'm no rush.

After "only" 435 hours with FM Touch 21 (my lowest playtime in the series so far :dread: ) I've decided to take the plunge and treat myself to FM Touch 22 on Switch. The main reason for this is that you can now have 5 active nations at the same time, as opposed to just 3 on previous versions. This makes the potential trans-European journeyman save much more appealing, as I can have the big 5 leagues running at the same time. Always used to have to decide which ones missed out which severely limited my save-lifespan, whereas now I'll be able to jump from club to club, establishing myself as the club-fixer that re-establishes fallen giants as European forces before riding off into the sunset with a hefty payoff :datass:

Time to take Newcastle to the top (of the Championship)! :toot:

Hey, MM, how'd you get on with the Xbox version? Does it play well with the joypad?

Just 435 hours? Confirmation that you don't even like the game any more, Preezy :( ...

Keen to hear what you think of the new version, dude :toot: .

I think I average about 1,100 hours per game usually so it's definitely a downturn, but I will let you know how I get on with the new one :toot:

I’ve got FM22 downloaded on my Series X, not given it a go yet! It’d be my first FM game, any tips for a newbie?

Due to the surprise release of Halo MP I've not actually played it yet, FM21 was fine though on a joypad. FM22 has proper touch control so I'll probably play it mostly with that.

I've got 4 saves on the go at the moment!

Fluminese - I ordered a mystery kit hoping that it would be my main save, from the arse end of Europe to the top table. But alas, I was scuppered so I've settled for Winning the club world cup ( So beating last seasons CL winners ) and getting a player from my academy in the CL winning side.

Liverpool - For messing about and being an absolute power house.

Chester FC. Get them to the PL and eventually win it. CL not important.

Schalke is my current journeyman save. Hoping to stay with them for 3 seasons and then see where we get!

160 hours in already :shifty:

Started a save with Newcastle to see if I can turn them into the top club in Europe and it's been a struggle so far. Tried to spend as much of the £200m budget I was given, but no one of any quality is interested in joining my righteous crusade :(

Ended up buying Phil Jones and Abdoulaye Doucouré :simper: Perhaps January will be kinder to me.

Opening 3 games were also a bitch - Man United (h), Arsenal (a) and then Chelsea (a), so that's 3 losses to start the season, perfect :fp:

I struggled a bit with the Xbox version. Found the interface too fiddly, and couldn't even get Ross Barkley to discuss a contract with my Newcastle side.

Ended up buying it on the PC, and weirdly found I could sign players a lot more easily, ones who wouldn't even allow me to offer a contract when on Xbox.

Is the switch version the real deal or is it just a copy of the mobile game?

It's much closer to the full fat version than the mobile one, there's just as much tactical, training, transfer, contract etc depth as the PC version but doesn't have as much media interaction, so no pre/post match interviews (which I actually see as a good thing!). Also limited to 5 active nations, but that's clearly a hardware limitation as it would seriously chug if you had more than that

Biggest drawback is the lack of using a mouse, but the controls become intuitive very quickly (for me at least).

One thing I've noticed with this years is that the Ai will offer literal peanuts for your players and then demand £100+ million for their backup goalkeeper.
