Hmm really contemplating this for Holiday in May. Can imagine sitting by the pool in Marrakech, all inclusive and playing FM on the Vita in the boiling sun

Might have to have a bit of gander and see whether there are any special offers dropping in the lead up to May.

So what's the consensus view of this on the Vita after a month of being out? I've not played CM / FM for about 10 years so no idea what PC version is like.

is it really as fiddly to select the correct icon on screen as the reviews made out? Are the player rota's already out of date? Can you do transfers/editing to get them all as per now?

Can I play as Forest?

After about 1 season of this, I'm pretty impressed. I've not really played CM/FM either on PC for years and had only dipped into the Android one a couple of times. Its a completely different beast to the Android one, definitely more in line with CM03/04. The icon thing isn't that much of an issue, the only time it can be a problem is on the press reaction statements where you can't then go back if you press the wrong this. Not sure on the player rotas though as I'm managing in the conference. Surely the cross play with the PC version though would necessitate the Vita version being up to date?

Of course you can play as Forest, maybe you can make it as if the 2013-14 season didn't happen. In my game, Forest went up automatically in 2nd place.... Not sure who was in charge though, I'll have to have a look next time I fire it up.

Thanks Rex. I saw Suzz playing this last night and he said it was very very addictive. I'm getting r-e-a-l-l-y close to caving in and getting this. Wonder if the price will drop now season is finishing? Probably not as they'll milk it for as long as it takes for a sequel

I don't think the price will drop anytime soon, it only came out last month

it's happened on other titles (none of which I can actually recall naturally!). Ive read comments on here about people seeing their new game halved in price within a similar timescale.

I'm working my way through Virtua Tennis 4 at the moment and enjoying it as my main PSV game anyway. Plus I dip into Treasures of Montezuma Blitz and Smart As every day too. Still have Strangers Wrath to play beyond the first hour too.

Trouble is, I really fancy having FM on a cartridge to dip into and prove that Forest really can get promoted to the Premiership!

Grabbed Pirlo at the end of the first season on a free and he led my Arsenal to the title only now has retired, but now is my number 2, sorry Bould but you just don't have what I need.

Been binging on this again the past few nights, Signed an amazing young lad from Alloa Athletic In the Scottish championship for 200k. 6 games into the season he's scored 9 and assisted 5. Worth £1.7 Million already

Nabbed William Carvalho, Deli Ali and Stevie May and some Sweedish lad all for just under £4 million. Flogged a few bits of dead weight. Absolutely loving it again

I didn't bother getting 2014 so I'm still on 2013, started a game with Wycombe, my goal is to build a team of youngsters and rise up as the team ages and reaches it's prime.

I gave in, bought 2014 sometime before christmas, and then never played it enough to make it out of preseason

I started a new game using Chile's 3-2-2-3 tactics and was smashing everyone 3/4 nil until I inevitably lost against bottom of the league Norwich who were on a 7 match losing streak before that.

I've finally started to click with this on the Vita. Currently 14 games into my first season and have taken Forest to the top of the championship with a run of 8 straight victories. Scored tons of goals too (5-2, 5-4, 4-3). It's the Keegan approach of we'll score more than you!

However I keep seeing messages along lines of "cash strapped Forest" and the board slashed 25% off weekly wages not quite sure what that will result in
