?

Have I missed something? The only Chileans we should be aiming for are Sanchez and Vidal.

I like him. Not for starting every game but as backup.

We already have enough dross never mind adding to it. Van Gaal has to find buyers for Young, Anderson, Cleverley, Fellaini and Buttner. Fletcher also will never be the same. So our summer signings shouldn't be back ups. We should be signing players who'd get in our starting eleven and that for me is about four to five players.

Obviously all those players I listed won't go. I can see Fellaini staying as nobody would be silly enough to pay £15m and his wages.

Medel didn't even stand out for Cardiff. Chile had a forest defender and another player whose team were relegated. But I don't think most these players can transform this level to their club. Even Sanchez has had problems at Barca.

He's not dross, and I'd play him in midfield rather than defence. He's better than most of the midfielders currently at the club.

Whatever problems Sanchez had at Barca, he scored 19 league goals last season.

A lot of those goals came when Messi was injured. Hence his problem and why Barca are looking to sell him.

And Medel is dross. Wasn't even Cardiffs best player last season. You'd think he'd stand out. And you want us to sign another Kleberson.

Not a big fan of wanting players off the back of only good international tournaments.

We already have a big squad. Also who will Medel play back up to? Carrick, Fellaini and Cleverley? Rather adding more dross to the current joke of a midfield we got. We should be signing two centre midfielders who'd walk in our team. Let's first worry about the starting 11 rather than back ups.

Medel plays in one of those positions that a player isn't meant to directly stand out though... If defensive midfielders stand out in a game, it's usually because either they're rubbish or their team is being so...

Didn't help that he played in a team that after Mackay went, had zero focus or stability within it, so it's hard to really judge what he would be like within a decently run team... Medel also did pretty well in his years at Seville, so he can't be a rubbish player? Especially compared to the likes of Cleverley...

And why is Sanchez and his 19 goals in La Liga mean nothing just because of his problems of not being in the first team is daft, United would do well to get him...

Exactly.

Model is a smashing, nutcase of a player that was brilliant at Sevilla. Sanchez is fantastic - that goal against Real last season - but has to deal with being part of a rotation system. He'd be leaps and bounds better than Nani.

Both would improve United's current squad.

Lescott is close to signing for west brom. Can't believe no one else has come in for him.

According to transfer speculation I've read in papers, about 9 teams were in for him, including some from the Bundesliga.

Vanishing spray will not be introduced into the Premier League next season despite it being considered a success at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
The new initiative marks out where a free-kick should be taken from and where the defensive wall must stand, aiming to prevent players cheating.
It will be used in the Champions League from next season.

I don't understand why we wouldn't do it. What are they negatives to it? What reason would u give in not choosing to use it?

Wages would no doubt be the issue for a lot of clubs, especially for someone Lescott's age...

Probably the old cop out argument that putting technology in football ruins the traditions or some gooseberry fool like that.

Probably need to watch more games then. It happens, and the spray stops it from happening.

Thought villa would have gone for him being as he is a villa fan too. He wouldn't be guaranteed first team football though. Cus vlaar and okore are our first choice pairing.

Hope it works out for him.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Unless they mean wall encroachment/moving of the ball isn't a big deal... :x

West Ham have signed Cheikhou Kouyate to go along with Mauro Zarate, two brilliant signings. Sad they'll be ruined by Sam.

Here he is in action:

Didn't Victor Valdes, their number one goalkeeper said that he's leaving Barcelona (before he got a very serious injury?)

And they have lost their number two goalkeeper as well, Jose Manuel Pinto. Even though Barcelona has said they are open to tabling a new contract should Valdes change his mind (and he may have to, considering the lengthy lay off!), Bravo could come in and show what he can do and relegate Valdes to the bench.

EDIT: It seems that he has left after all.
