:dread: That's a team set out to park the bus. Should be a good game.

Looking at the teams that the 4th placed team could face in the qualifiers. It's not going to be a straight forward task getting in the champions league. You looking at potentially facing Napoli, Dortmund or Hoffenheim, Nice, Sevilla and CSKA Moscow. Ajax if they lose the final to us.

Sorry, just expanding on the Bilic situation. I think most fans want him to stay. He's a popular figure. Likeable, honest, seems a decent man and I think the players like playing for him. However, when we talk about the gooseberry fool signings we made he has admitted he gets final say and in particular he wanted Gokhan Tore who was a disaster even for a loan signing.

I think he has a year remaining on his contract and if so I think they should at least let him see that out. The circumstances of the stadium move and the strawberry floating interminable injury issues we have all the strawberry floating time haven't helped him so I'm prepared to give him more time. He's just so cool.

Fair play to Liverpool. Potentially tricky game and they've delivered.

West Ham just didn't turn up at all. I'm reluctant to give full credit to Liverpool just because West Ham were so strawberry floating appalling.

Keeping Phelan around until January is what cost them ultimately.

I think not.

What have you got to back that assertion up though? Pretty much everyone says they've been transformed since Silva arrived.

Here's an article, admittedly from mid-April after which they suffered a few (ultimately mortal) defeats, that says they would have been 8th had Silva been there since August.

Apparently Phelan's points per game ratio was 0.65 and Silvia's was 1.41 (again, up until mid-April, when the article was written).

http://m.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull-city- ... story.html

Not sure what you have to in support of Phelan bar the United connection. He did well in the first few games when they only had 13 fit players, but they were in the mire when they sacked him. If they'd kept him they would have been relegated sooner.

Sacking their manager at the right time and making the right appointment afterwards has saved Swansea. It almost saved Hull.

Conversely, both looked doomed and Boro looked safe with their old managers in charge. Then we sacked ours too late (should have gone sooner or been given the full season), and replaced him with someone part of the old setup and with no real fresh ideas. So we lost the defensive solidity Karanka bought, but still kept scoring the same amount of goals. Was a shambles.

Fair enough then.

What cool hearder. Perfect.

Rooney was marking him and stood too far off him. Probably thinking about hitting the blackjack table after work.

Pretty awful half. Yet still could have nicked a goal right at the end.

Probably Lingard. Both make me sad though.

Doing well so far as I was predicting a hammering. Still time I guess.

Liverpool winning has made our last three games pretty moot tbh. Not great that we're losing but I'd rather lose a game than a player to injury right now.

Yep it's a dead rubber as far as we're concerned.

Glad I gave it a miss this time don't think I'll watch the last two league games either it's clear the team are just going through the motions.

Might be a dead rubber in terms of the result for us, but I'm sure quite alot of he players on show today won't be here next season after their performances last week and today.
