City thought he was too pricy, which is strange as they set the precedent in recent years when they bought Mangala and Stones.

He signed a six year contract last year so Southampton don't need to sell.

If Klopp has talked to him directly then it is tapping up. If Klopp talked to his agent then it isn't. Most managers speak to the agent and he then passes the message onto the player.

Maybe they looked at the amount United spent on Bailly and reevaluated their outlook 8-)

Still can't believe they spent £45million on Mangala and that was just before transfer fees went up another level.

It's likely that Lukaku will go to Chelsea.

I hope he goes to Liverpool, personally. He likes to talk about his future an awful lot.

According to reports, Wijnaldum's been telling Van Dijk about Klopp and Liverpool, not sure that's 'tapping up'.

They're already banded from signing youth players or something for tapping them up, aren't they?

Probably shat it that they'd get a transfer ban.

They've got previous form for doing the same with Lallana, Mane, Lambert and Lovren apparently and getting the media to unsettle them.

This article is a bit embarrassing https://www.theguardian.com/football/bl ... te-upgrade

Solanke looks like he could be a good one. Someone we've actually signed

4 Everton players in the team and one on the bench.

Apparently, Kenny, the right back, has been one of England's best players in the tournament. With Coleman out hopefully we will give him a go rather than sign a Saints back up.

Ojo (a Liverpool player) was the best player today according to an Everton forum I read.

Zlatan to leave United

Would that make united the only club he's played for and not won the league?
