I'm not happy with United this season. I'm pissed off with all the draws like any other fan. I'm happier than I was under Van gaal. As fro the Arsenal and Spurs games - Mourinho made his choice and given the number of fixtures played, still to play and the injury list we've had - it was the right one. Comparing our results to Liverpool's is moot as they haven't had the same fixtures or anything like the injury list.

If we win the Europa it's been a decent season but frustrating. If we don't it's been a disappointing and potentially damaging one.

Coutinho was out for 2 months, Lallana nearly the same, ditto Mane, Hendo out for about 3months, Danny Ings out for the season plus Lovren and Matip have only started a few games together, Firmino is out now as well, Sturridge for most of the season. Every team has injuries, I reckon Manu's squad should be better than Liverpool at handling them.

Look at our bench over the past 3 months. Kids.

Liverpool haven't been playing with 10 men whenever Rooney is playing though, so they're already at a distinct advantage...

If United get two trophies at the end of this season, there can be some success from it... Perhaps not the success so craved by fans, but it can't be deemed THAT bad really?

Why are we even surprised about pundits bumming United? Photek's Anfield goggles must make him immune to hearing them doing equally to Liverpool  All the pundits do it because it's easy and that's all their audience actually tends to know... Even press conferences tend to get diverted these days about the 'big' story (I'm sure BFS really wanted to talk about Rooney when preparing for a relegation 6 pointer)...

I'm pretty sure our injury list is a lot worse and you conveniently forget the fixture list and the fact that you were only going for fourth spot without the Europa to fall back on.
It's a complete no brainer that we wrote off the 4th spot at the expense of the Europa - given our fixtures and injuries.

I'm sure I read in the paper today that Man Utd have played 21 more games than Liverpool so far this season.

That's a heck of a lot more games.

This. You can't really compare the two

Considering how bad we've been in the last four seasons we've won two trophies and might win another one.

Liverpool have won one trophy in 11 years.

Case closed.

And Liverpool struggled when they had that period of playing two games a week.

Not sure what point Photek is trying to make. No Man Utd has said everything is rosey and we done brilliantly. But if we win the Europa league then Jose has had the second best season after Conte. He makes it sound so simple going to Arsenal and Spurs after Europa league games and getting three points. I wonder why no football club has signed him up as a manager yet. He clearly has forgotten the detrimental effect the Europa league had on his teams league performances last season.

FA Cup was 2006. Add eleven makes 2017.

10-11 years. Still atrocious.

Chopped off the CL win I see.

I'll leave it at that, this thread turns into derp town if I say anything remotely negative towards Manu, derailed to f***.

I didn't mean anything about it you know.

Just pointing out when we're talking about poor results and lack of winning that Liverpool who have spent a bit of dosh themselves haven't won much either in a long period of time.

Money spent means nothing we all expect it should but Leicester last year made that statement look foolish.

Infact I'd say many of the premier leagues best players have come via lower transfer fees or through a clubs academy. The problem is you might bring 5 or 6 academy players in and you're lucky if one of them is truly good enough to play for a club at the top end of the league. Tottenham hit gold with Kane and then Alli.
