Comes from after Everton sacked Koeman and basically begged Silva to come when he was still at Watford... His head got turned by it and resulted in a really bad drop of form...

I know that but don't know what grounds Watford now have to complain if he goes to Everton.

A big club like Man U start sniffing around Klopp. Klopp’s head gets turned, Liverpool refuse to let him go and results suffer badly before Liverpool sack him.

A few months later Klopp turns up at Old Trafford.

Can you see why Liverpool might be angry?

Similar grounds to Southampton's complaints regarding Liverpool and Van Dijk (illegal approach etc.)

Van Dijk was a Southampton player when we bought him. Silva has no contract with anyone.

Legally what can they do?

Why are you in here anyway? Wrong thread.

Legally? Probably nothing.

How am I in the wrong thread to talk about Everton? :?

The Guardian wrote:Watford have made an official complaint to the Premier League over Everton’s alleged illegal approach and talks over a compensation package between the two clubs have failed to reach an agreement. While Silva is out of contract and technically available to replace Allardyce immediately, the dispute over Everton’s approach complicates that process and could lead to arbitration.

I think Photek is referring to the fact that you are but a lowly Bristol fan (Rovers or City, I care not) and thus you are not worthy to commune with fans from the upper echelons of the Premier League. Worm! :x

So they could take legal action regardless of if he joins Everton.

I understood his point thank you Mr Preezy. I decided to ignore it as I was not talking about lower league football, but about the best team in Liverpool.

I mean, if I wanted to get nasty I could have pointed out that it is easy to pick a team from another country and pretend to support them in order to be able to claim to be a supporter of a “big” club, but I decided not to lower myself to his level.

Still, Everton, Big Sam, Watford and Silva eh? What a kerfuffle!

I'm referring to other things I've talked to moggy about. :shifty:

I've explained why I support Liverpool, not going to waste my time going through it all again.

I just saw someone say Allardyce received £9m from his 6 months at Everton.

They were paying Koeman £6m a year and supposedly have to keep paying that until June 2019 less what he's currently on, which is £500k as Dutch National Coach. So they're going to end up paying him around £17m 2016-2019.

Add in £5m compensation to Southampton for Koeman, and possibly having to pay Watford compensation and they've spent on fortune on managers the last 2 seasons and achieved very little.

I dunno, if someone is telling you to get out of this thread, then they probably don't have the ammunition to actually argue with you about football.

Sam hardly did the bare minimum, did he? That would have been 17th, narrowly avoiding relegation. And it was hardly the bare minimum when avoiding relegation was basically his remit.

And Watford would possibly feel aggreived even if he's now out of contract. As he's arguably out of contract because of Everton's approach turning his head. They tapped him up and stopped him doing his job properly. Watford presumably sacked him because they were worried the alarming loss of form would see them relegated. And now if Everton appoint Watford don't even compensation. Watford will feel aggreived as it was a classic case of approaching a manager through back channels and the media.

Football managers have the best jobs, £9m to be sacked after 6 months? 8-)
