D'oh. I didn't read that until now. My bad.

Ta for the reboot. It was my first duos match. Good tactics on rebooting away from where I'd died - I wouldn't have thought of that

No worries!

Yeah didn't want to risk it since it takes so long when it's only one person, heh.

Ah man. Last match I was *in the zone* with the Prime Shotgun. I got in the top 5 by primarily using it and DMR. (7 kills.) So strawberry floating annoyed by how I copped it, too  :x

I’m surprised it stuck around so long this time

I still prefer the flare gun variation, it seemed to cover more area for longer

That's a good idea until someone has a heavy sniper or something :(

I really don't enjoy solo when there's no recon item. You just get blasted in the back so often

And the healing is too slow in this game for you to retreat and heal yourself up to fight a second attacker. So your only option in solo is to plan around where everyone is.

I hope they let you crouch walk while healing at some point.

For flushing out campers fireflies are your friend. If you’re in a squad you can pop some out of a vehicle whilst the other 2 players cover you and nail the fleeing players.

Or drive through the bushes in said car.

I know. Camping isn't so much of a problem in squads.

I'm talking specifically solos. If someone is hiding in a bush and they wait until you're close you're basically dead no matter what unless they're a bad shot.

Was playing with Playstation tiles tonight and I found a way to see the names and finish of players in my last game. Interesting thing was the gaps, of which there were more than actual players. I think this method will give you a good feel for how many bots you're being match maked in. 2 bots to every 1 real player doesnt surprise me after my recent awful performance. :slol: :fp:

The Friday and Sunday team of Stu, Fade, Chalky and I never face bots as we're just that damn good :datass: .

I've never looked at the stats or replays though but I assume we only get put against hardcore pro-gamers and youtubers.

One of my friends is stupidly good and took out 30 players recently in a squad game. The opponent difficulty when I am in his party is very different to the 'I've taken my two shots, so I'll slowly run away in a straight line' opponents which I faced on my own tonight. :dread:

Re the gaps, maybe they're people who have share info unticked? But I definitely feel like I've encountered bots (and using gooseberry fool / semi-competent bots is a great way to get people hooked on the loop), as watching an opponent's behaviour often leaves me puzzled how it is they were so good a moment ago but then went to gooseberry fool after I disengaged them and left them to their own devices. (I've also had opponents who've beaten me soundly but then just hung around doing random gooseberry fool in the storm :?) And then there are the opponents who'll aim everywhere but not actually directly at you, so they'll get shots that are *just* to the right or left of you. Bizarre. But! I'd rather have that than wait around too long for a match to fill out.

When we first started playing again a few months ago we won like 3 games in a row. There must have been so many bots in those first few lobbies

Fortnite has a skill based system where it fills the lobby with a number of bots depending on your ranking, so if you have a streak of bad games, you'll be gifted the opportunity for some wins, or at least some kills. It's just a theory, but I'll definitely compare after my next game of duos to see how strong an indicator it is.

Yeh this is the case. I've seen bots trying to shoot people but part of a mountain is in the way, getting stuck backwards and forwards trying to walk around rocks, when you've killed them they'll have the weirdest loot (like a fishing rod a green pistol and a bunch of vegetables)

It's very easy to notice bots if you're looking.

Easiest tell is they'll try and pickaxe through walls at every opportunity.

Oh and they won't jump while shooting like almost every player does.

And on consoles at least their turn speed is unfathomably fast, something you wouldn't be able to do on a stick.
