Do we know if the Fanatec wheels will work with the Xboxone?

I'm guessing they won't work wirelessly at least but hopefully wired is an option.

Was hoping for PGR5, especially after those Lucid rumours before hand..i'd be stunned if they launched with both Forza and PGR. Looks pretty good though, especially when you consider it's a launch title as well. You'd have to wager that they've been working on this since Forza 4, while Playground did most of the work on Horizon. I'm wondering what they've got planned for the career mode, it's been a while since i've really enjoyed a racing game single player mode. GRID 1 was probably the last one.

Not CG in the same way shots from the screenshot mode in GT5 and Forza 5 aren't CG either. They don't look anything like that in gameplay, though. Neither will this.

Will be the crown jewel at launch.

Drive Club vs. Gran Turismo 6 vs. Forza 5.

I'd say Drive Club, irrelevant of quality, is in trouble.

The guy who said it wasn't CG was spreading lies and has since deleted that tweet. It's CG and it looked awful :fp:

Do we know if the Fanatec wheels will work with the Xboxone?

Thomas from Fanatec said they don't know - wheels owners better prepare the KY :dread:

I think if anyone looked at that and thought it was in engine, they need to take a long hard look at themselves.

You always bang on about this one. The cars themselves are the same model in photomode and race mode in F5, they were different in F4. The difference is that in photomode I think they apply 2x AA or something and let you choose colour filters and your own DOF etc.

Its the same bar the AA until you start fiddling with it. Its actually rather easy to see the flaws with the rendering engine when you're messing around in photomode. You see all the dodgyness and the limits on reflections etc.

My point is the game is going to look nothing like that in game and you'd have to be delusional to think it would.

The car models in Forza are great, but they looked out of place in the environments.

That's actually a good question. I wonder if Microsoft have talked to Fanatec at all or maybe Fanatec will just create a new wheel based on the new software.

If a tweet tells me something which is clearly, clearly untrue, and everything I know about the current state of video games, their power and the power of these consoles, (and the way in game models and lighting work), I generally disregard the tweet.

It could well be in engine. Just so happens that its a very specific bit of 'in-engine' that only works when its run on mental hardware on a render farm.
