I like FH2 a lot, its prob the best free roam racer there has been for years. Its not the greatest racer of all time though.

I think expecting F6 to have feature parity with the current crop of sims it hopes to compete against is not too much. Time cycles at a minumum, weather cycles and a proper track selection are also important, multi class fields etc etc.

It had better look good too.

Or else....what exactly?

I didn't realise wanting a new singing-all-dancing engine is considered to be an ultimatum.

And who the heck brought DriveClub in to this thread? Oh wait...suspect numero uno.

Forza Motorsports' engine has been behind the times for too long now. This is a well deserved upgrade to which I hope to be amazed.

HSH28 wrote:You can't really compare Forza with Drive Club anyway, they are two totally different types of racing games with a different focus.

My personal opinion is that a bunch of features don't make a game good and a lack of them don't make a game bad.

My god...I agree!

I don't think he has ever played it  He played the MMO racer with a few others instead

But yeh Driveclub is the best racer I've played in a long long time. If Forza can somehow match the fun and challenge in that then I might be interested in it again.

I don't see anything about this being a new engine. I'd imagine its simply a way for them to try and use the Forza brand to try and get credibility for a potential new franchise but without stretching the Forza brand even thinner.
For instance:

Urban Racer 2016 powered by Forzatech
Urban Racer 2018

I went a bit forza mad a the weekend and bought Forza 5 Limited edition (£30 at game) and Forza Horizon (£10 off amazon).

Forza 5 is quite good, although thats said without the early teething problems. Ive got all the tracks and thanks to Forza rewards (and the LE) Ive got pretty much every car I want. I think it handles quite well. Its more forgiving than Forza 4, and theres more scope to slide the cars. Also IMO the graphics are alot better than Horizon 2. I can see how the career progression isnt quite as good as Forza4. Thats still not the best. Some of the menu systems arent as streamlined as the other Forzas too. As with Forza , becasue im late to the party Ive got a range of firnds scores to beat too.

Horizon arrived today. It plays quite well. The handling feels safer than H2, making sliding around corners is alot more confident. Im enjoying exploring the new environment too. The only problem is that Im credit poor because theyve stopped the rewards.

Im going to try to push towards Tier 7 before Forza 6. but i dont think Ill get it because its a bit buggy.

I really hope they get rid of that stupid thing from forza 5 whereby you need to go right the way back to the top main menu to tune your car, so if you're in a rivals event and want to change something, you have to quit out, load from the menu, then load the event again.

I played it for that free weekend and was impressed, throw in weather and a full game and I'll jump I reckon.

I don't understand. You're responding to me, telling me you quoted me but you did nothing of the sort.

The first time DriveClub is mentioned...
Photek wrote:Compared to what? Driveclub?

Forza 5 has a higher meta score than that let alone Forza Horizon 2.

I think it will have weather, I just want a ton of cars and 60fps loveliness in the rain.

See? That's you that is! Not only that your response is derogatory...as if DriveClub looks bad. Now that is

50 frames, obviously they can't hit 60.

I had to read that a couple of times. Wet and night time races. OK.

Dynamic weather? Dynamic time-of-day?

Will wait for a western update.

We reached out to Microsoft for comment and they informed us that "Forza Motorsport 6 will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second on Xbox One, and you will be able to learn more about the game at E3."
