I don't think so. Nothing has been mentioned about houses, and the buildings around don't look like they'd be player houses.

I've been through and added a few of you on LIVE, as all my leaderboards are looking a bit empty. If anyone wants to add me, I'm on as Knoyleo.

Just unlocked the spring showcase. Am I right in thinking that once I'm out of the first 4 season cycle, the seasons just rotate on a weekly basis? Is much of the rest of the content locked to a particular season?

Seasons rotate on a weekly basis, yes. The only thing season locked once through the four season story are the weekly championships and the Forzathon prizes [though that's less season based and just giving a change]. Everything else is available - even if it requires a different season - at all times. It'll just change the season for that event then put you back to the current after.

Also, added you back.

Can you only get the barn finds when you hear about them on the radio? I was in a cross country race, and came across one of the barns in the track, but it wasn't in a highlighted zone on the map. Does nothing happen if I had back there now?

There are lots or barns on the map, they only get "activated" when the time comes - mark on map, radio announcement.

Fortune Island "review" -

Forza Horizon 4 is a magnificent game, one of the year's best, and it cannot be faulted for its scope, its freedom and its celebratory sense of fun. Of course, it's (almost) always better to be too generous than too mean. But the place this game is in, I think, says quite a lot about where game design has ended up in 2018. The content-casino approach of the loot box era lives on - but without the actual loot boxes, and married to the endless diversion expected of open worlds, it leaves us with a heedless, pointless economy of bounty where my time as a player is overvalued, and the hard work of the event designers and asset modellers and feature programmers starts to be devalued, because there will never be time to look at it all. "Never too much," Luther Vandross once sang, but I am not sure the great man was right.

"The expansion is drowning me in money, and if anything the wheelspins seem to be coming even thicker and faster, too. I suppose that's the fantasy - go on a treasure hunt to a remote location, come back rich" - Kind of the point of a place called Fortune Island that has a pirate theme, wouldn't you say?

It's a point that the main game does throw a lot at you as well, but all this being talked about in a review for the expansion just seems a bit... unneeded? And the review itself not even concluding with the thing it's meant to be reviewing... Amazing.

I agree that this game throws so much at you but then gives you little meaningful to do with any of it. Fortune Island has some amazing roads but in rivals they're all still locked off to certain classes, car types or individual models. So in order to do "proper" rivals (any car/class combo) i have to start each point to point race (or make a point to point version of an existing loop) and wait for 30 seconds to a minute or so for the ai to get out of the way and make notes of the final times in a spreadsheet myself. I'm all for making your own fun but this is ridiculous.

Yeh I'm bored of this one too thanks to all the loot changes. It almost rivals FH2 as my worst Forza.

It's not really a review, pretty sure it's under a 'Feature' sub heading.

I agree about the Rivals - It can be so much better if they restructure it to be more like F7.
The introduction of Fortune island has doubled the number of championships - so i think thats a step in the right direction.
I wish they put more in city tracks - something that i think they could implement with some kind of urban championship series with user created tracks.
However i disagree with this being a bad FH. I think its the best. The game has progressed but each incarnation is similar to the last so its hard to tell the improvement.

That should be fun. Although I still wonder how many people know ranked is a thing considering how long it takes to find a game at times.

The prize for one of th seasonal events this week is the Hoonigan Ford RS200 which is a bit of a beast of a car. I tried truning the elegible cars for the event (lancia and peugeot) to A800 and i struggled against RichardBatesUK drivatar. But bumping the tune to S1-900 made it easier. Is the drivatars ability connected to the IRL player?

They're showing update 5 on stream at the minute, with the Taxi story coming up soon.

The Taxi story is looking good, with you having to stop at the points rather than just drive through them. Available on Thursday. They've announced that another story will be coming with update 6 focused on skill score. And Mitshubishi cars are coming to the game in a free car pack.
