Oh wow, I'm definitely going to need to move stuff around, and I think I was already down to only games that absolutely needed to be on the internal drive being there.

Before downloading Forza Horizon 5, ensure you meet the storage capacity requirement for your platform of choice:

Xbox Series X|S: 103 GB
Xbox One: 116 GB
Windows: 103 GB
Steam*: 103 GB

*Stay tuned to our social channels for an update on Steam preload timing.

With the high-speed internal SSD storage found on Xbox Series X|S consoles, we’ve reduced the install footprint of Forza Horizon 5 on those systems by optimizing our assets for higher bandwidth streaming. That means a shorter download combined with super-fast loading times so you can seamlessly jump into the action as soon as you say “Let’s ¡Go!”

Preload Forza Horizon 5 now with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription or by pre-ordering the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition or Premium Edition.

Those buying Forza Horizon 5 on disc may also preload the game today using the Xbox app on smartphones. Simply find Forza Horizon 5 in the Store and hit “Download to Console” to get started.

If you already preloaded Forza Horizon 5 to either your Xbox console or PC before Oct. 21, we advise checking for game updates on your platform of choice to confirm the complete game files are installed. Doing so will ensure you’re ready to experience Forza Horizon 5 immediately once Early Access begins on Nov. 5 for Premium Edition and Premium Add-On Bundle owners, or on Nov. 9 once the game rolls out globally.

It doesn’t look like Forza rewards is going to be fixed or supported with FH5 :(

It will be interesting to see how easy money is to come by. Horizon 3 and 4 along with Motorsport 6 just threw it at you, but I found Motorsport 7 was very stingy and the rewards really helped out.

I find a steering wheel is fun for just driving around, but not sure it's best for the proper racing stuff.

It's looking good, although for some reason I'm not a massive fan of the setting this time round. Could be I'll get used to it and it won't be a problem, but it's a nagging feeling at the back of my mind.

This video prompted me. I am now ready. What stands out from the clip is the level of detail.

Although it is flipping hard with the wheel. Looks incredible still though.

I'm not sure I can even see a better quality image in the 'quality' mode. The sort of pop in thing is noticeable, but I imagine I'm going to put it on performance mode and just leave it there. I used to think 30fps was fine, but after FH4 I don't think I can go back.

Quality mode definitely looks more cinematic. There's something about the extra foliage and motion blur really adds to that sense of detail.

Performance mode definitely looks more "videogamey".

I'll try both and see how I feel.

Quality mode looks great for image, but 30FPS. Nah. I hate motion blur, gets turned off straight away with chromatic aberration and vignette/film grain.

60 FPS all the way.

£65 for Premium Edition download on Shopto. £85 on Amazon and Premium upgrade is £40 anyway to upgrade Gamepass one.

I had a dream last night that they announced the first expansion as Banjo-Kazooie themed. I have no idea how feasible or brilliant such would be, but I do know I want to see more crossover material make it into this game.

Viva Pinata would be a better fit.
