I recently went back to number 2.

The soundtrack is so much better, the races encourage the use of all sorts of cars and I do kinda miss the bucket list challenges dotted around the map. Some of them were really hard to complete.

Also the lack of raindrop splatter on the camera actually increases the feeling of driving in the rain.

I enjoy 5 but do feel the series, as good as it has been has seen diminishing returns as time has gone on. It doesn't help that they nailed pretty much everything with the first game and making the graphics better, adding weather and removing the road barriers was really the only improvements they could have made. 3-5 are really just 2 with a different map.

Whatever shape or form the next game takes needs to be a rethink of the whole game. If this means binning the festival idea and then going with something new, so be it. It's also high time we got some more variety in the vehicles. I don't mean boats and planes but at the very least we should have motorbikes.

See, this is why I'm excited to see what the new Test Drive Unlimited brings. It'll lean into the sandbox driving game but still be a racer.

I think it's the fact that they welcome you to the festival as a previous champ. You're effectively the last boss who goes around ruining all the races for the other competitors.

Oh, yeah. We're the superstar from the previous game, yet nothing is really done with it.

Just finished the last of the festival playlist for this week. The two-eliminations one was a bit glitchy, but it unlocked once I completed one of the dailies.

I got my first and only super wheel spin, how do you get them or are they just random?

Super wheel spins come from a few areas. But they are rare. Buying houses, Sometimes the dev team will message you some freebies, check your messages in game. Then, level up and accolades give them sometimes, but normally just normal wheelspins. Some cars and their mastery set have super wheel spins in them, so you can apply the skill points to get them.

There was a cheese out there, that was getting loads of skill points, and then buying lots of Willy’s jeeps as it was the cheapest way to spend skill points for superwheel spins. It’s been patched out now. I think the next cheapest is 14 skill points and the Pontiac trans am 1987 car…. I think.

There are a few event labs user events that enable you to get 10 skill points in 30s. Apparently.

I expect next week PG will remove all super wheelspins from the remaining car skill point trees, and remove the ability to get skill points in custom events.

What car did you do it in and how long did it take?

Ive left most of the long "finals". I did do the street racing one in an S1 Ferrari for one of the daily or weekly challenges - took me about 8minutes.

Did it in a Supra and it took like 15 minutes.

Kind of annoying I won't have enough Forzathon points to get both cars in the shop this week (and they're both unavailable in the autoshow). I've done everything I can to earn points, but without being able to do Arcade easily, you just cant build them up.

Got the Trial and Arcade done. Trial is an odd one. The first round has long, flowing curves, and the cars are much slower than in previous weeks, so there are hardly any overtaking opportunities. We only won the third round by 50 points.

The seasonal danger sign was fun, though. So many people trying to get it on this first evening, that everyone spontaneously lined the road to spectate after their own attempt.

Yup. I saw that as well. Just unfortunate that also on that spot was a Horizon Arcade Drift event taking place at the same time, so I was half focused on drifting and half focused on watching everyone else flying.

Honestly, for Forzathon points, just do the Arcade Drift events. Even if you only get the first round complete, that's 20 more than you're likely to get with the regular Arcade events. Four done in an hour, that's a minimum of 80 Forzathon points. Though I do understand that not everyone's good at drifting, at least you know what you're getting into the Arcade Drift events.

I’m done with this for a bit. I don’t intend to do season 2 unless it’s really appealing with seasons/weather and cars.

I picked up the series mclaren F1 and bagged the Porsche from the forzathan store. If you have a loads of skill points, change cars and see if any have forzathan masteries to apply for 1-5 points. You can get 10 per car quite quickly if you have a set of skillpoints.

I noticed that the blue car screen is broken again, it had loads of cars eligible to purchase, so I hit what i could with my 5M credits.

I then gifted the weekly challenge car 488 pista to someone, along with some other good and high value cars. When I come back, hoping for some goodies.

Got the matchmaking working which is great, , hard reset and unplugging all external storage devices sorted so I’ll take 50/50 blame on that one.

Eliminator seems completely broken, invisible cars, unable to challenge people, sad really.

Single player was quality, quirky as strawberry float online, which given that’s where the horizon series has always fallen down compared to your standard forza games you’d thought they’d put more effort into.

Glad this was on Game Pass as I've just pretty much completely drifted away from it now. There's just not enough meat in there to make it worth coming back to - very quickly it feels like you've seen pretty much everything it has to offer and I'm not at all fussed about chasing pointless targets and goals to achieve ... I don't even know what exactly?

It was fun for ~10 hours which is not bad in all honesty, but I can't see me bothering with 6 unless they really shake things up.

Uni-mog racing in the latest seasonal events. Uurgh. (Because I’m not paying half a million for the alternative truck.)

Forza Horizon 5 players to receive 1,000 Forzathon Points following multiplayer issues

https://www.trueachievements.com/n48004 ... hon-points

In a post titled: "An Update to the Community," Playground Games detailed the most prominent issues players have been running into. After listening to feedback and reports from the community, the developer says the game's next update "will be the first step" in addressing the problems raised and that more fixes will be coming over the next few updates.

Issues Playground Games plans to address:

    Players randomly disappearing from Convoys.

Low player counts and players disappearing from Horizon Arcade.

Invisible players and players unable to challenge each other in The Eliminator.

    Matchmaking improvements for Horizon Open.

Fix bugs leading to "erroneous lap times" to be posted on Rivals leaderboards.

Plans to remove "impossibly high scores" for PR Stunts that have been posted by players using game speed modifiers and will put in preventative measures.

Will continue to release improvements to game systems to combat cheaters and "take action" against cheaters.

Working on adding a save and edit feature for EventLab content post-creation, so players don't have to complete whatever they're building in one sitting.

Workling on systems to improve EventLab curation, so XP/credit AFK farm events are not surfaced
