strawberry floating stupid to set 100 miles. It’s just a chore. It’s a long distance for 1 car. I did the marathon and it’s 18 miles. I did a lot of other races I hadn’t done, but I’d prefer another car, more fun, than that Bentley.

Jesus Christ. They’ve realised they’ve made it “a bit of a grind”. And to put things right? They’ve given us all 100 Forzathon points.

Just smacks of them having no real idea what they are doing or listening to feedback. How anyone could think that was a good idea is beyond me.

I am semi thankful the seasonal stuff is so broken. The buggy stuff has prevented me from getting 1 or 2 cars now so I don't have the FOMO for any other cars from now on.

So is the consensus that it’s best to wait to take part in the seasonal stuff until things have been ironed out?

I finished the bulk of the single player stuff last weekend after playing it fairly intensely for a couple of weeks, so I probably need a bit of a break anyway. I’ve just got the stories to do, but everything else was won / 3-starred.

Just for another perspective, I've not really had any issues with seasonal stuff apart from the first few weeks where the daily challenges seemed constantly bugged and Forza Arcade just didn't work. I do usually do the Forzathon Weekly thing in one session though and that seems to to be the main thing people have issue with now. I think it's always worth doing the seasonal stuff as it's usually good rewards.

The thing I found with the seasonal stuff in FH4 is that the rewards for the seasonal challenges usually flooded the Auction House a few days afterwards for comparatively little money. I did still complete them though just because all the DLC was out and completed by that stage.

It also looks as though the seasonal challenges are more picky about what car you use compared to FH4? Or is that just my imagination? For example, I noticed a seasonal danger sign challenge that had a specific car that had to be used, rather than a general class/tuning. It was the same for another race, but I think it was limited to a specific car make (rather than model) and tuning.

I guess it's the only way to get the Forza Points though.

Yup. In FH4 there was no restriction at all on the weekly danger sign, speed zone or speed trap, but they were quite a bit more difficult than getting 3 stars on that particular PR event. Now they can be very specific restrictions, but easier to achieve. They do only reward regular wheelspins now rather than super ones. Making money seems slower this time around. We've lost Forza Rewards, lost the business payouts, and we get a lot less super wheelspins.

Ah, glad it wasn't just my imagination then. Appreciate the info!

It's good that they are a bit easier to achieve, as some of the seasonal PR stunts in FH4 could be frustrating even with a favoured car. One I specifically remember is the danger sign which took place at the coastal castle which had a pretty windy approach. That one took me hours (or at least what felt like hours) and several vehicles to figure out.

So I took some time to do some of the seasonal objectives for the first time in FH5 over the weekend. Is it not a bit mad that they are expecting people to pay 5 million credits for the cars needed for some of the objectives this week (Bentley + Ferarri)?? Ironically, both also sell for more than their auto-show 'RRP' on the auction house. I bought the Ferrarri since I needed the accolade for buying a car worth £1mil+ from the auto-show, but no chance I am paying 4 mill for a Bentley just on the off-chance I can scrape togather enough points for a Toyota Land Cruiser :|

Yeah, the whole Bentley thing was a massive misjudgement. You can get it cheaper in auction (I think I spent three million), but you have to time it right. I think the more expensive ones are those that have already been tuned.

But you can easily get the Land Cruiser without completing the Bentley and Ferrari events.

I didn't realise. I counted the points for the non-Bentley and Ferarri events and came up short of the 45 required. Maybe I miscounted or missed something - any pointers?

There are 65 points available in total, and the Bentley and Ferrari events only account for 7 of them, so you must have missed something. There are seven dailies, for a point each.

Shows a complete disconnect from the people playing the game. Or they are seeing so many people cheese the game that they reckon 5million is nothing. For the normal or average player this weeks activities are silly.

I get a bug and buzz for a couple of hours on a Thursday, but I really got a give it a break after this season.

Ah, my mistake. I also didn't realise there were 7 points worth of dailies up for grab each day. I assumed everything up there was weekly quests :fp:

Thanks! Got that last achievement during my lunch break today and it actually worked. The lanterns are plentiful around the sand dunes and they even respawn quickly so there’s no need to do weird loading in to races etc to force respawns like previously with snowmen etc!

Ah, I had a quick look around and couldn’t find any, but I didn’t try the dunes. The square in Mulege looks desolate now the decorations have all gone.
