I just looked back at Series 1, and I appear to have been docked three points for each of the four weeks, for no reason. Especially annoying for Winter and Spring, where I’d completed everything and got the full 65 points. Ultimately it doesn’t matter, but they’ve tailored a lot of the game to completionists, so it’s a bit gooseberry fool to tarnish the effort people had put in.

Got an Eliminator win last night, should be able to clean this game up for the full gamer score now.

Sticking to the roads is underrated 8-)

I think it's another bug as I have 3 points for every season this series now from doing the co-op races which I haven't even done yet.

It's really frustrating. I've spent a heap of money fast travelling between each race tonight and 50% of the time I've ended up either being unable to move, floating in the air, inside a mountain, infinite loading (a halo tie in?) or a complete freeze, causing me to have to restart the game and end up having to pay for fast travelling again and in some cases progress of my current event wiped.

I had high hopes for this and downloaded it on gamepass. Not impressed really. It feels so bland. I also got some really poor loading times. Sometimes I get a loading screen after some events which is a black screen egg timing for what feels like over a minute. At one point it took so long I thought it had crashed. Definitely something I'm not used to having been on PS5 for the last year where loading times are swift. Really expected that to be minimal, given the Series X seems to be lightning fast loading every other game.

But yeah it just feels really "meh" to me. I remember the Horizon 3 opening and being wowed. It just felt a bit flat this time like I knew what to expect and it didn't have the wow factor I'm used to with this series. Horizon 4 was probably the same, but being in the UK (which was quite different to past games) and the seasons being a new feature kind of tricked me into not noticing.

A recent update to the game broke the loading. Somehow. So now it's massively inconsistent. Before the update, it was pretty much instant.

I've had my own trouble with the loading, so for now I'm waiting until they fix it. Maybe it's fine with Horizon Solo?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I enjoy it every time I play, too. But there's no denying they broke the loading somehow. When it takes minutes just to go from an event to the freeroam where before it was so instant the first stat had just about appeared on screen, you know they broke it. I don't want to have to put it down, so I might see if Horizon Solo does indeed work for speeding things back up. I have a feeling it might be something to do with online conflicts, as for me it only seemed to happen when doing things that required that online connection - such as someone else's created event on the Forzathon.

I admittedly haven't tried it after last update but if Eliminator is still going strong I know I'll have a ball, I love it.

I had a go at the super8 or what ever its called. Im sure half of these are made by clueless children who do a gooseberry fool uncontrollable car X tune and make you drive 10km in slick tyres over dirt. Who the strawberry float chooses this crap?

I find I just get given stuff that's just drive 1km in a straight line in less than 2 minutes. The fact they're being pushed suggests they have a very high like to dislike ratio. I'm not bitter that my hit the float bin challenge using a ramp was played 3 times and disliked 3 times.

I’ve seen a few of them that were obviously set up just to cheese some of the Accolades. I quit any like that. It cheapens the game, IMO.

Looks like Eliminator still suffers from invisible players. The few games before that semi worked despite slow loading times when changing cars... for a moment I thought they’d actually fixed the game.

Todays daily is to do three events labs events. So i tried the top three editors choice. The jurrasic park one is crap - it looks the part, but its hard to know what to do or where to go. The buggies on is slightly better apart from a few shitty jump options in the middle. And the resort street circuit time trial would be OK if it was less than 20 laps (i got 1:18 after 3 laps). I left a dislike on them all.

If anyone is searching, I’ve found some snowmen in Mulege. They don’t always register as hits, so you might need to smash a few extra.
