Hey, wondering if anyone else is having things on their Xbox install themselves? I've had demos download, which I found a bit invasive but I assumed it was normal but I've also had full games install too....

So far I've had what appears to be the full version of Need for Speed Rivals and Goat Simulator install on my Xbox by themselves. No account activity indicates that they have been bought. Anyone have any idea what can cause this?

Was it bought second hand? If the previous owner still has that xbox set as their home console I think i've read that can happen when they purchase games..

I have my kid's Xbox set as my home Xbox and everything I purchase on my Xbox downloads itself to theirs.

Sounds like your Xbox is someone else's home Xbox.

I've never had a demo download itself.

EDIT: Obviously this is a good thing for you, you basically have access to this guy's whole library of games.

I bought it from a guy at work who now has bought another one not so long ago. :slol: I'm guessing I'm getting his games.

I think there's you're answer then.

Ooooh Minecraft too.

I tried to tell him today but he's not answering Skype and in a different office.

It's called gamesharing.

Why tell him?

Enjoy the free ride.

Same thing happened with me and my mate, took us a while to realise what was going on  He started noticing all kinds of games in his library appearing that he had no interest in, at first he thought he was just being given free games because he's part of the preview program or something. As Shadow said when you login onto another Xbox and set that as your 'home' Xbox, then that Xbox gets access to all your digital downloads.

I'm guessing this is one of the features left over from that initial Xbox One reveal. Microsoft don't tend to draw much attention to the feature as it seems so few people actually seem to know about it.
