Fresh new PS3 title to be announced at E3

Jake Osuwiah, a PR spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment America, doesn't only hint at a new PlayStation 3 game, he outright confirms it.

"E3 UPDATE: Fresh New Title for PS3 @ E3, will keep you guys posted as soon as I can (Embargo might be lifting soon), STAY TUNED..." Osuwiah tweets via Goonlinegames.

We were hoping for more than just one new PlayStation 3 title at E3, but at least we'll defiantly be getting one next week. Perhaps we'll be seeing the unveiling of Team Ico's latest game following its year-old concept trailer leaked onto the internet last week.

Sony's press conference is dated for next Tuesday, so we'll surely find out then, and maybe a little earlier...

Bit worried about the fact they are only announcing one title at E3

So either Trico or GT5 will not be at E3

Best conference ever. The only way MS and Nintendo can top that is if they have serveral new games.

I think Twisted Metal is as good a guess as any. Unfortunately, I think the games are crap. Not exactly a system shifter, either.

What the PS3 is something completely new and original that is exclusive. They seem to be haemorrhaging their old exclusives (GTA and Final Fantasy leap to mind, with MGS as a distinct possibility to follow), and the ones they have left aren't really much cop. They need something new that will blow people away and have them buying in their millions. As good as Project Trico may be, we all know it's not going to be a million-seller, as it doesn't have that mass-market appeal.

Shadow of the Colossus sold over a million, and it even got on the European and US Greatest Hits/Platinum range. Wikipedia claims Ico sold 700,000 without taking into account it's European re-release, which considering the type of game it is is really impressive.

Without knowing the type of game Trico is, predicting how much it will sell is an assumption. And we know how you feel about people assuming things about Trico. :lol:

How many Units did the PS2 have out when SOTC was released? The PS3 wont even have near that many.
